hey all! got the car going and its amazing! definately worth every dollar! took the car to work and back on wednesday and thursday, upon arrival at work and then back home (10 min drive), steam comes from the thermostat area. definately steam and not smoke/otherwise, so definately coolant leak. No drips form, and no evidence of leaking on the block. car is not overheating http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=...hg=11&fg=35 im thinking i will replace parts 6 and 8 and see if that fixes the problem, or do people think it could be the thermostat instead/as well? thanks

if its a classic you can take the music off. if its an iTouch or iPhone stop reading now. plug ipod in, go to control panel and click folder options. then go view and then click show hidden files. then open up the ipod and click ipod control, and then music. then select all those folders (should be F01- whatever) and copy and past to C:/ Then copy and paste to iTunes AFTER they have copied to C. Edit: may not work on the latest classic, but does on every generation before that anyway

as far as i know it is okay not to be on the steering wheel though. can be connected up to a button on the dash, but must be easily acessable and able to be used without looking for it. Dad never had trouble with his like that in his Safari

sounds very similar to my mate Wills car.. take the ECU apart and check in there for moisture.
-
^ also you will probably need to get a two button foglight switch.. the single rectangle one only has two poles. your car should be wired for front fogs, its just a matter of plugging in the right parts.
