dont do cashies with panelbeaters, or any tradesman for that matter. although there are other reasons too, they generally do them when they havent tackled the job before (ie working on an E30), and offer them to get the car in the workshop and get a good poke around the car, and/or if they are not 100% sure they can do a brilliant job etc etc. they also target younger people who are thinking about the money they save, and not the sacrifice in quality. Unfortunately, its not going through the books so you actually have no comeback when the job turns out to be sh*t quality and over budget which is often the case. they can just say they offered it to you as a GST inclusive quote for $xxxx. this is from experience. id rather pay my 15% extra on the rare occassion i get work done on my car now, and have the fallback should i need it.

happy birthday better late than never

10mm or 70mm below the legal limit, the 5-0 dont care. rules are rules
-
haha i found that too! i measured the plug to find out what tool to buy and then noticed it was 17mm and thought brainwave lol! best $50 saved ever
-
when you look at it that way 180 isnt too bad. but the extra 130 we saved offsets our first ticket for using them lol
-
yeah i dont buy mechanical/high value sh*t from there for that reason, except i couldnt say no to a $70 E30 LSD worth ten times that ha
-
i plan to make full use of the features, not just the GPS tracking ability on its own
-
havent got them yet.. estimated delivery date has moved too, looks like they were only sent on friday :/ ill post the tracking link here. i cant see a need to keep it confidential http://www.fedex.com/Tracking/Detail?ascen...4&pieceNum=

have heard issues with the singapore ones. usually higher spec but cant rely on the kms to tell you how much its been used coz of thier idling traffic etc. its also right on 200,000 as well :S maybe ill let it slide
-
sh*t i brought three sets for less than that lol
-
looking at a 740iL, im just wondering what opinion people that have them have. would buy again? whats fuel economy like on them? is a prefacelift so the M60 engine i believe. Anything on these cars to check when i have a look at it? is an ex-Singapore, is that okay? thanks guys! Andy

oh didnt recall thier being two at the time but now you mention it maybe you are right. i think ill need both of them. i definately want to tidy up the one that my stereo and cluster etc etc is on as that is quite messy i know. cant recall whats on the other curcuit to know if its worth while. is the brake light switch on it? forgot to mention would like one thats unmolested from a car with factory stereo and no alarm if possible
-
have an M52 one if you want it down in wellington. also have a traction control one too if you want it.
-
50c per screw all you are worth?..
-
My one is a mess from having three different stereos and two different alarms installed tapped into it and then removed. probably the source of most of my wiring quirks let me know what you have. free/cheap/doz/take-the-cracked-dash-its-attached-to-off-your-hands is good as close to the following as possible please: 1990 Facelift 320i Jap import 4 door full electrics aircon Automatic (this probably doesnt matter) if anyone knows for sure that all facelift looms are all plug into the right place and your away laughing let me know.

for the front either the bumper bolts to the pfl brackets or the fl brackets bolt to the body. i think i have some fl brackets if you need them you can take the rear needs modifciation to suit and is not bolt on mainly because of the rear wheel arches being different
-
^did you use it from a gold plated can??
-
i beg to differ. its been fine for me not far off three years later. was one of my first mods to my E30 brush the carpet with a hearth brush/dustpan-and-broom brush in one direction. spray the dye on let it dry then brush all the carpet back the other way and repeat. i used the VHT stuff or whatever the brand is

got a bid on while i can afford it yussss haha
