Was going to finish putting the interior back together and then start doing a bit of work on the suspension and such tomorrow but maybe i should get a video of it going first just to proove it does go haha

oh heres the storm! haha. lightening hit my gf's school this afternoon all alarms going off etc. Shed literally pushed over, and no power to most of lower hutt as at a three hours ago :S ps: in before lock
-
bit gusty outside last night but pretty calm now in upperhutt. its probably just another example of media hype lol

porsche one is also about 40 fyi, and there is a large supply of them at the Porsche wreckers, i have thier card/invoice somewhere ill find out thier name if you like. would do for now to buy some time and sell it at the end when you find an E32 or similar one?

Guessing a driveshaft balance is not a DIY? will have the car up on stands this afternoon so will recheck the bolts. were tight when i installed it but can hurt too check again now the cars been driven a bit so the big power guys still use the standard E30 DSCB?
-
Hey guys. installed an as new center bearing in the E30, and have gone through it in a week and a half, or about 500kms. obviously ive been driving the car hard... what do the big power E30 guys run? looking at Atta's V8 specifically as it probably has more power than mine, but all you boosted and or engine conversion guys. want to get onto this or my guibo is going to be next on the replacement list. probably already on its way.

Yeah i know. hardly anyone likes the black but its how i like and thats all that matters ha. I have two sets of Hartges, 7 good ones and one screwed one. its not cracked, but grooved around the inside from when a brake caliper came loose and flicked up. unsafe and probably uneconomical to repair
-
The Z3 and E36 racks are the same iirc hook it up to the thermostat on the radiator mate.. its not rocket science. if you can do a conversion you can tackle this

photo of the car how it sits right now on my Hartge rims and 55 profiles H&R Cups going in very soon which will drop the back up to 10mm from present, and the front about 40mm from now so a decent amount of rake. they are a 60/40 set Took photos of the front but the sun was behind the car (as you can see from the photo) so are crap photos. No back drop on it anyway, and only things different from last batch of photos i put up are euro headlight wipers and high output bulbs. We have all seen the front end of a tech2 Will take more when the engine bay is detailed, sitting at its final ride height on all new suspension and ive installed a few more visual items i would like to try to make it stand out edit: if someone could photoshop out my paint defects for me that would be excellent hence left photo in hires kty

sweet will pm about that! the wires that go up the A pillar are for the sunroof and/or check panel, and if niether of these are present in your car, they are probably just wired in from the factory. E: not sure about which connector you mean without a photo sorry
-
That makes the MX5 look even more like a toy car! look freakin awesome imo!
-
that looks like my underdash wiring have to get a new under-dash loom one of these days haha

im running the porsche 944 booster but wouldnt really recomend it. it provides very little assistance. will be upgrading the pads and fluid in the near future anyway, but if i did it again would go for something else. however it does bolt straight in, needed NO modification everything just bolts straight up, and no need for a remote reservoir.

for the effort it took to get my camera back, the photos are somewhat dissapointing from out in the marshalling boxes. too busy keeping y'all safe to muck around zooming in and out and setting up perfect shots etc. anywho here you go can supply hires if you need. shameless photo of the volvo for the weekend. no paint ripped from it which is awesome haha

they dont fit bmw and from what others above me are saying they cant be made to..
-
so they arent really three piece then or am i missing something? (purely for interests sake i ask, no other)
-
ive tightened up the hoses going on to it and it appears to have stopped but for how long im not sure. will be keeping an eye on it regardless. Definately will replace it with a metal housing. how many kms before a thermostat typically fails?? might be worth doing now as preventative maintenance, everything else has been done lol not yet, picking up my camera tonight from Ian so might get a video tomorrow if one of my flatmates is home to be camerawoman! otherwise static photos will have to suffice for now ha

did you copy the files to C? if not they wont be able to play on the laptop nor sync with the ipod when the external is not attached, just a heads up sorry if youve done this
-
hmm feels like metal but sounds like plastic when you tap it.. maybe one of the dismantelers can shed light on that? going to take it to work today and have a good look around when i get there
-
99% sure its metal, ill double check though
-
Not E30 fitment being 4x114.. (tbh didnt even know hartge made non-BMW parts), but may be usefull to someone wanting to dismantle and widen thier E30 3pc set? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-315538725.htm

cheeky offer: interested in swap for the Volvo estate?

hey all! got the car going and its amazing! definately worth every dollar! took the car to work and back on wednesday and thursday, upon arrival at work and then back home (10 min drive), steam comes from the thermostat area. definately steam and not smoke/otherwise, so definately coolant leak. No drips form, and no evidence of leaking on the block. car is not overheating http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=...hg=11&fg=35 im thinking i will replace parts 6 and 8 and see if that fixes the problem, or do people think it could be the thermostat instead/as well? thanks
