They should make a bio mass plant or convert meremere to burn our Rubbish we got plenty of that going to landfill Average Aucklander probably throws away enough rubbish annually to power their house for 6 months...lol

No there is no lean that was just until i released the handbreak while i was jacking it, the funny feel is on taking off, yea I think its probably 1 Shite worn hard tyre vs semi new soft yokohama with about 7-8mm tread
-
Could be paranoid.. but does feel strange, No it doesnt pull to one side, Checked Dizzy Cap and Rotor and they appear to be functioning ok lol, I kinda deserved that possibly was thinking maybe I damaged the wheel bearing when I got flat tyre? I didnt drive far though just like 50-100 meters to get off main road and was going pretty slow! Anyway will get it checked out Monday when I get some New tyres. Cheers for the Help

Yesterday I got a flat tyre and changed it today with my spear Exactly same size but with more tread than the one on the other side Im Driving E30 4 door 1986 I had the handbreak on while jacking up the rear and after I changed it and let the car down it didnt really go completly back to normal (hight) untill I released the Handbreak again... Anyway now when I take off it feels funny like draging or like the diff is only powering one side?? Hard to explain but was just wondering If anyone could Help other than that Drive fine...
-
They dont make E30 with M5 motor standard Apex, You have to do the conversion your self, And I dont see anyone elce on the track driving quiet like him...

Ok ok just trying to help Should have read the original post.. Maybe this Will help then: M62 Misfire faults Model: E31 – 840iA produced from November 1995 to October 1996 E38 – 740i/iLA produced from December 1995 to October 1996 E39 – 540i/iA produced from March 1996 to October 1996 Complaint: The check engine lamp is illuminated, and fault codes 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57 are set in the DME. The misfire faults may be caused by low or no fuel, poor fuel quality, high or low fuel pressure, ignition coil, faulty spark plugs, restricted or contaminated fuel injectors, crankshaft position sensor, poor combustion through low compression or high leakage, or a blocked or restricted catalyst. Remedy: Check the above possible causes for misfire, and rectify if necessary, then clear all faults. Or reprogram the DME using MODIC programming software P9.0 or higher. If the vehicle was produced between December 1995 and September 1996 the reprogramming is a necessity. When testing the new software test the vehicle with the same conditions the misfire first occurred at. If the misfire continues then check the secondary voltage pattern, ensure there is no damage to the catalyst, check the above possible causes, then reprogram the DME.

e39 540i stalling at low revs...hunts while idling any ideas?
rjac001 replied to wobbly47's topic in Maintenance
it sound silly but check and make sure all the leads are securely attached to the plugs and getting a good connection ie not wet or dirty or anything... chances are its an ignition problem so after that I would check Dizzy cap and rotor arm, could have a crack and now with the colder wetter weather very easy for moisture to get in and that will cause the problems your having -
what about dizzy cap and rotor may have a crack or just need a clean?

That Sucks man.. I could go on about the towies but yeh... probably the thing to worry about would be the steering get it checked asap hopefully just an alignment will sort it out, worst case it could need new steering rack, which would fix the power steering leak too! and while you are getting it looked at you can loosen off the extractors and reseal them with exhaust cement (fixing the "crap" sound) all in all your only looking at max 350 for a decent (second hand) steering rack fitted the rest you can do by your self... but i'm just assuming the worst here, 50 dollar allignment and Hopefully sweet

Yes they will take any metal clean or not ie with plastic bits it doesn't matter they will just strip it themselves and pay you a little less..
-
Yes Avondale scrap metal on Rosebank rd behind Ideal Electrical I have found they are one of the best in auckland always pay top prices!! You should be able to get 5 dollars or so just for your radiator and a few dollars for your other metal depending on the weight mild steel = 20c Kg Carbon steel & Wrought Iron =40c Kg Aluminum = $1.20 Kg Brass & (hi-Grade) Stainless steel $ 3.00 Kg Clean Copper $5.00 Kg These prices are just a guide as the metal markets change from day to day
