maybe one is his companies answering questions for answering tech questions, and the other is a personal account so comments are not referred to as being representative of the company -
same thing happened with my gf (30 yrs old shhhh i didn't say that) her 307 went from 18,000 to 15,000 and premiums went from $750 to $1000 that was with state... I called around and got agreed value of 18,000 and premium of $650 with ami... would be cheaper still if we moved contents and my cars there also

Line lock / adjustable brake bias with ABS

a lot of modern cars go into limp home mode when the abs fuse is pulled might be worth checking on that... -
SECURE YOUR SUB!!!! NOW!!! you don't have much cable length there your going to rip something out of something on the first decent corner you take (i.e. 30kph driving like granny)...

Called Greg today about a seal kit for the car and he mentioned he's still possiblely got my 306 calipers still so i'll collect thoes today and hopefully they are ok enough to get me by until i can rebuild the rear calipers off the 205... Figure while they are off give them a complete rebuild as i'm wondering if the binding i've been getting after using the handbrake has been from sticky pistons...

Wouldn't it be better to look at a rev limiter launch control? Might need aftermarket ecu for that tho.... -
also decided on the eventual kit for the car:

mmmmm 106 maxi's... hell maxi's in general are cool... It's a very common mod to take the cossie running gear and slap it into a pug... have you seen the cossie rs 306??? 4wd and something like 600hp.. there is also this: Andy Burton's Opel 2.8ltr V6 (DTM ENGINE) 306... 10,000rpm 4wd or this 205 dune buggy with a v12 from a BMW in it... again it's meant to be a 10,000 rpm machine..

Went to get the rear end of the car rebuilt and wait for it... no problems!!!!!!!!! well i could say that but then i would be lieing... Went to put the rear calipers on the car and whooooooooo all the piston seals are screwed... by what looks to be a large pineapple... So now the hunt is on to find a rebuild kit in nz, and get the calipers rebuilt before the 9th of jan when i'm meant to be doing the cannonball run... also for the continuation of the super news, there are officially 0 phase 2 reverse lights in New Zealand... God Damm i love living here at times... I can get them out of Aussie at $50 AUD + shipping... SDHGaLLKJHLKGJSDGLKUJH)(*$#!@)@^#)%*^YTPIUDPF(*WE+)* W$YP(YW(*GHWHGSDO:G:SLDJGHG grrrr... really.... the AA's last a 10th of the time and it gets very expensive... The lithium-ion battery's last a long time also i usually get a full weekend (3 days) of rally picture taking on the gf's camera, and 1 day on a set of AA in my digital camera...
-
make sure it's doesn't use AA's only get a rechargeable battery one...

Wow, there is soo much crap in this thread... I'm hung over and can't be bothered working - especially as my boss isn't in yet... Driver Training/Licence System - Should be mandatory in school. Who cares how old people are... 12,16,18 - you new at something your going to be crap at it... end of story... Screw the it's too expensive to get a licence because it's not... Go to Germany or a lot of places it's a min of 2grand to get your licence. You have to have a log book with a min. number of hours behind the wheel verified before you can sit you next step. Ideally you would have to go and do something like Rally School where you get taught how to brake, how to accelerate, how to take a corner, what to do in a slide, etc... Being taught by your parents is STUPID and POINTLESS... i know soo many people that are crap drivers, their parents are crap drivers, they have learn their parents bad habits and they will no doubt teach their kids their inherited bad habits... People should only be allowed to be taught by qualified instructors. The old car thing is an old debate... yes people have a choice in the piece of crap they buy... Why is that you get an old $3000 E30 over a newer more modern safer Hyundai that you can get for the same price? It's because you want a "cooler" car... Nick if i'm picturing your accident correctly the reasons for that was the way you hit them that caused their injuries. At 100kph frontal impact if the airbags didn't go off i would hazard a guess they where faulty... Too much force for them not to go off... -

you can get a 307 for under 10k now... -
That can certainly be arrange... Flick me a text when you can be bothered popping over: 021389993

The guy making those wants around 1100 aus + shipping... for the headers... Wayney - if you have spare time one night or a weekend i'm just down the road from you i think (i'm in northcote) if you wanted to i could either bring the car around or you could pop over to have a look and give me a rough price... I'll chat to a few of the other mi16 owners and see if they would be interested also.

nothing right now, but i know i've cracked the manifold and i would like to replace it later on... just would need to budget for it... It would be a 8-4-1 or 8-4-2-1 something like that... it's a nuts exhaust... would be something like this.... i have the 8 port style head.
-
wayney what do you normally charge for a set of custom headers?
