haha we are on subscription here so we get all the latest releases anyways... the biggest problem is we have 21 autodesk products alone that i need to package to go to servers around the world it really really sucks as they package differently between products... it's annouying. All up i've got 38 packages i need to get done asap... and they all need to be intergrated into SCCM for deployment. and on top of that - i've run out of space on the deployment servers... need about anouther 50gb...

you can use winamp to put music onto the ipod/itouch

i really don't like the way itunes is soo invasive removing alot of the controls you have over the files when compaired to something like media player. Espically if you have an old mp3 collection where the tags aren't correct, i've got about 140gb of music at home i really really don't want to have go through and correct the tag information for 50gb of my music thats got the incorrect information in the tags. I also hate how the ipod/iphone/itouch renames all the fricken mp3's to random numbers/letters to try and prevent sharing, a few friends have had their pc's hdd die and the ipod was the only collection of songs they had left... it was a pain to rebuild the lib. If it had been my creative mp3 player it would have been a simple drag and drop to get everything back again. Not a hunt for some software to read the ipod database and attempt to convert all the files back to their actual file name.Â

I"ve got Andrea the Creative Neeon 6gb (nice and small for the gym) and i've got the creative vision m as stated before, if you looking for a ipod replacement i would seriously look at the creative vision:m stuff or some of the iriver gear. if your really into your photos, the iriver my friend has will allow you to plug your camera into the iriver and user it as a storage device allowing you to empty your memory cards onto it... it's a direct plug in from the camera to the iriver via a usb cable

I've got a creative vision:m 30gb with my senhieser headphones it sounds better than the iphone i've got... Would recommend to anyone - has a few advantages over the ipod/itouch. -Windows recognises it as a portable device and doesn't need itunes to work (good for work environments where your not allowed to install software) -It's not a ipod -can be used as a portable harddrive with no app's required. there are a few others but it's not an ipod... and in nz where ipods dominate the market getting things like extra chargers for the car, socket plugin charges, etc.. can be a pain as you can't just rock up to dicksmith, jaycar, etc... and get cables/chargers... Also all new car stereo's, home stereos, etc... have ipod stands to allow direct connection to the device - it's worth noting that 99% of these don't interface with the iphone also... just the ipods/itouches... As much i as i hate the ipod/iphone i would recommend getting one in NZ, purely for the fact things would be easier to get for it. Also have a good look what you want to use it for... 8gb gets fulled very very quickly... it doesn't take long before you start getting sick of the same songs constantly... i'd highly recommend getting something atleast 16gb pref 32gb...

A valet at a hotel in auckland that has changed names was snapped when i was working at sky city for taking a gts-r holden for a quick run to onewa road and back after the customer left something in the car and the valet staff couldn't find the car. They called the valet's cell phone as he was being pulled over for speeding over the bridge...

if the tacho is anything like the 205's one, it reacts way way way to slow... i've hit the rev limiter at what looks like 5,900 rpm instead of 7200 rpm

Was $75 for me when i had mine.. but that was more than 10 years ago... was the 10th car in a 10 car pile up only because i was quick enough to start sliding up the inside of the car infront of me - the car behind me stopped about a foot off my bumper and i was side mirror to side mirror with the car that infront of me at the time of the crash...Â

1st and 3rd syncros in the 1.6 box are screwed. I'd love to pull apart the box and make a 1,2,3rd from the s16 and 4th and 5th from the 1.6 box. The 8 kph differance in third doesn't really bother me to much the 18kph dif in 4th isn't ideal. I don't have the knowledge to pull apart the box and rebuild it myself nor do I have the cash for it atthe moment. I'll look at buying a second box later to build anouther close ratio for the car. Those speeds for the s16 would be about right but I could be very wrong it was just a spreadsheet I found. I've been talking to a few people and the recommendation is to take the 24mm antiroll bar from the 306 get it cut down by 80mm and respline the end to fit into the 205 upgrading the one there.

Right found a love spreadsheet online with the 1.6 and s16 gearbox ratio's and this is basically what i've got and what i'll have after the swap. ('box/FD) 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th FD 205 GTI 1.6/1.6 3.31 1.88 1.36 1.07 0.87 4.06 306 GTI/S16 2.92 1.85 1.28 0.97 0.76 4.43 306 GTI/1.6 gti 2.92 1.85 1.28 1.07 0.87 4.06 KPH @ Redline (redline = 7200) 205 GTI 1.6/1.6 58 102 142 180 221 306 GTI/S16 60 95 138 182 232 306 GTI/1.6 gti 66 104 150 198 253 i'm thinking that the 306 box and final drive would work quite well in the 205.

If your going to screw around with fuel lines, do it properly briaded steel lines... Bewared annodized connecters get EXPENSIVE very very quickly... unless you have a trade account somewhere factor $30+ per connector
-
i don't mind it, apart from the rear lights, rotary and cheap sound install...

most silicon hoses are ok... better to check with someone who knows more than i do.
