  1. http://www.myrideisme.com/Blog/bimmer-bomb...a-lifestyle/#15 Possibly how a bmw should be treated. Also not very clear is that it had a 1JZ supra turbo in it.
  2. That was question 2, has it got reg/wof, if not would it pass? would it need new reg or re-vin?
  3. Then I'm you're new best friend.....I walk everywhere. I believe I've driven 1.5km in the last 2 weeks. My fuel spend is about $10 a month. Also a bog standard BMW should be getting ROUGHLY 500km to the tank, depending on how heavy your foot is and how much you ride the brake.
  4. Hiya, Does the car have any other issues you're aware of....leaking coolant, engine oil, rough gear changes etc?

    Lambo doors

That thing on Tardme looks so huckery, and I think you'll find he had to butcher the front guards to get the Lambo kit on.... LOTS of cuting and welding involved and a pain in the ass to line up. I looked at doing it to another car a long time ago and found it just wasn't worth the money or time involved. My 2 cents.....
  6. Really good photoshop work that one.
  7. Waste of time putting in a second hand one, they ALL crap out eventully. The only question is how long will a second handy last? New ones last quite alot longer i'dsay.
  8. I have a feeling rotating the headlight 45Deg isnt going to give the pattern that he's got. However you do learn something every day.
  9. I shouldn't even justify those last 2 posts with an answer but I will..... Alias: I dare you to try and put your entire headlight in upside down. Also please post your progress and photos here. Nuff said. Antil33t: Yes the bulbs are keywayed, however that doesnt stop people from getting it wrong. And Im hoping the haha meant you were joking.
  10. Blackie the headlight low beams should look like: \__...\__ I cant tell you what would cause that pattern, it could be an upside bulb but it would be in the holder/headlight incorrectly if it was upside down (you would notice), could also be a faulty bulb as sometimes the reflectors fall off. usually the LHD switch just cuts the angles off: __...__ Thats all I can say without having a look
  11. Find something you like then get a pre-purchase done. E46's have their normal share of problems just like all BMW's. Sometimes you strike it lucky and sometimes theres lemonade. And make sure whoever does the pre-purchase knows about BMW's. Dont get the AA to do it.

    April Fools Day!

Thats awesome, I asked a question just a normalish one to start ill think of some better ones later on.
  13. Someone spent WAY too much money restoring it and now want their money back methinks.
  14. I was gonna say are you sure the whine isn't coming from the next seat over? But sounds like thats been eliminated.....cant get rid of my whine.
  15. That Morrie is cool, the morrie from the link is awesome, but about 10 years ago there was a morrie for sale in the auto trader that had a supercharged stroked 350 in it, 3 inch roof chop and was NZHRA certified with wheelie bars and I also believe was street legal on road tyres. That would have been awesome. Here's one thats V8 Turbo with NOS: http://photo.livevideo.com/photo/v8-morris...D6F57D26B8.aspx
  16. Few of you showing your age when you're nominating a 911 or an Evo X (apparently one of the worst cars ever to daily, according to Evo Mag) as a daily - what's kept in the garage, an F1 car "for Sunday morning blats" ? A daily should be comfortable, reliable, economical, practical, not messed with if parked at the local shopping centre, and above all; start first time, every time in the morning. Wouldn't be the E39 either....... Go the Audi.
  17. My friend has an old arcade machine that he rewired to use old 486 desktop components that runs an emulator that has all the street fighers, all the mortal combats, one must fall, puzzle bobble, bubble bobble etc etc......its awesome, but takes up alot of room.
  18. I believe you'll find Tesla Motors and the Tesla Roadster were invented in the good ol' USA, and have opened a brach in london I believe. And yes electric motors make max torque from "idle". If you search you tube (and im not doing the work for you) there is a guy who converted an older car to purely electric, its in the US and WAS one of the only street legal electric drag cars in the US. No gearbox, the accelerator pedal told the computer how far down it was (similar to ALL drive by wire cars these days) and the computer applied the correct voltage to the motor. Would be a fun project but big dollars required. On a side note, the car is almost dead silent.
  19. Duke Nukem was awesome, started out as a platform for the first few then went 3D. I remember playing wolenstein 3D for hours, then me and some friends rewrote it so the germans grabbed their crotches and yelled "my balls" when you shot them. Good times, good times.....
  20. Pulling the regs off the doors isn't really hard, its just time consuming as the guide rail for the rear of the window glass has to come out. Just be careful taking everything apart and mark everything before you undo it. Also pays ,if the regs are still riveted on, to punch the centres out of the rivets before you try to drill them. And replace the window slides while your in there.....sucks to do the same job twice.
  21. Jamex springs are cheap and nasty and prone for sagging. Youd be better off having a phone chat with Suspension Tech or H&R Springs
  22. Happy Birthday Glenn.
  23. Every 2 weeks outside, once a month inside.
  24. Does this mean we should be shampoo'ing our seats regularly? Im sorry if i've offended anyone, i couldn't help myself.
