My car has an airbag error on the dash. I understand the component that is causing the error, will show up on a scan, is this correct? I presume after the Scan and replacement of the component it will then require a reset, to remove the light from the dash?

I would ring around for a second & third quote. This will tell you if it is pricey or not. I usually find a bit of time on the phone saves a bit of money. Lots of online do it your self tutorials around on the subjct, may not be specific to your ATV however. At least while your at it though you can probably upgrade and drive high wattage lights. When I've looked at it, it's been for CRF450's and XR400's. Good Luck.

As per topic. Also does anyone have a Front LH door in Sterling Silver off an E36? How easy are they to remove, and then fit a new one? I'm concerned that the fitting looks easy enough but getting all the shut lines correct would be very difficult. Alternativly how much to get a new, 2nd hand door fitted? Reason, the window rubber is stuffed and the door has rust in it.

My 328i in manual gives approx 500ks for 50-54 liters. Driving Mission bay to East Tamaki for work every day. Motorway in the AM, home through the burbs. On the open road I get another 100k's out of it.

Is there any current being drawn from the battery when everything is shut down? I have had a short circut in an alternator, that gave similar symptoms. Changed the alternator and was all good. FYI was in a Pajero not a BMW.

Yes, Just contemplating if I'm prepared to spend the //M $ on maintenance and //M $ on parts to do this justice......... I've currently got an 1998 E36 328i manual 4 door with all the options ticked, SA import. I miss the E34 and this would do nicely as a step back into one.

For what it's worth I've got a 1995 Pajero 2.8Turbo. Bought as the buy price when compared to Surfs is considerably cheaper. Under half when I was looking for same year etc. It was bought for my partner to drive, hence the relativly sensible option. We have done 50k over the last few years and had no problems. I have not touched it apart from Oil and Filter every 5000k's. Refreshed the coolant last year as well. OK HP. Slows down when towing and I reakon with a car on behind you would find it painful. Handles OK to for what it is. Just to put a another spin on it. If you want something reliable and is not going to leak go Japanese, if you want something to enjoy and have a more holistic experience, get a landrover/range rover. A bit closer to the BMW experience. All the same arguments for having a honda/toyota VS BMW apply to the above. My old Range Rover was great, never left me stranded. Only problem was constant leaks and a ton of drivetrain backlash. I still get misty eyed thinking about it, and I will be back in one at somestage, when it suits better. But when it was leaking you knew it had plenty of oil in it!

You weren't out at Maratai last week pullimg your boat? Along omana beach area were you? Those mags on the E32 look distintive and I'm sure I saw a gold E32 out there last week??? I can't remember if it was a 750 though.
