BlairYou are bang on, and also 150mm either side of the centreline of the drivers seat. It was explained to me that it all has to do with being in the line of the drivers sight. Mine was in that area. Cheers

Yup - Pam, you guys were my next port of call. Don't worry I (we - should I receive help) will stuff it up and then you Bavarian will be able to charge me an arm and a leg to rectify it.... (I'm not saying rip me off, I am saying legitimate charge to fix my wrongdoings) that is the usual story wth me. I am a mechanics worst nightmare and dream all rolled into one. Cheers

Hello I just went to the good old testing station, and failed my warrant, nothing major though, so that is good. Here are the reasons: 1) Big chip in my windscreen (not an issue, this is covered in my insurance policy so I get it replaced free). Funny, I have passed the two WOF's beforehand with the same ship. 2) My handbrake is out of balance (a reading of 80 on the left rear and 150 on the right rear). Is something that I can do myself? If so how? 3) My right inner tie rod has too much play in it, so needs replacing. It this easy to do? Or should I get a mechanic to do this for me? Cheers

Mr Duck That is all very well and good....but an opinion that a car is "gay" is not an opinion, it is a senseless statement, just the thing on the site we are trying to avoid as it is statements like this that have started recent arguements and caused the site to have to undergo recent changes. For the magazines you write for (which is awesome by the way, that would be a job I would love to do) I'm sure that you don't write your reasons for liking a car or boat or in fact computers is because they are "gay". That does nt show a high journalistic integrity. Healthy educated debate is fine, and is in fact encouraged, just not senseless statements with no back up reasoning. I am not trying to be a Nazi here, just doing my part to stop arguements etc starting for no reason. Cheers

Yeah, I met you briefly at the Dyno day. I didn't know anything about Bimmersport then, and only joined a while after...but I remember your car definately....oh and a certain orange car (how could I miss that).Cheers

Yeah it seemed to me...if you can't drive, buy the Audi as it is made for the lowest common denominator driver, whereas he M3 is for people who can drive and enjoy driving. Even though they seem to be targetted for the same market it still would seem, that it is not really comparing apples with apples. Good episode though. Cheers

Really...that is unlike them, SD Euro have always been helpful whenever I have wanted anything. In fact they emailed me Monday to say that they had found a brake duct for me and would courier it up to me. But Keven at Mosen's is really helpful too, they have often had parts when SD Euro didn't. Cheers

it was a second hand ICV, so it may be faulty. I have not been too worried about it, but am now going to start getting all of the niggly little issues like that sorted on my car....bit by bit. My injectors are pretty new (about 10 months old...as they were leaking). Cheers.

We had one done through the BMWCC at Bellar Motor Works on the North Shore - It cost us $50.00, and I have heard that they will do it for this price again for BMWCC members. Cheers

um no, I haven't...these would have to have been taken from the following car, as the areas people got sideways were not viewable from the pits.. Blair though, was an expert at getting sideways out of the hairpin, he had great car contol in the wet. Cheers
