Check your coolant reservior. If the coolant is a brown 'milky' colour, then it is a head gasket. Otherwise check your hoses and thermostat etc for a coolant leak. Cheers Grant

Just a note to add to this. When I bought my Bilstein's and H&R's I talked to www.shox.com, they were really hard to deal with, and payment was going to be really difficult, even though I was only getting them shipped within the US, and I would bring them back myself. I ended up getting them from Turners (www.turnermotorsport.com), they were a pleaseure to deal with, and matched shox.com's price....and not only that they didn't charge me the MA sales tax. My list would be very very long...do you really want me to type it (I am anal, and actually have a good maintenance history recorded...but not digitally that I can easily post.) A lot happens over 6 1/2 years of ownership of the same car, especially when for 4 years of that I was doing more than 500km's per week. Cheers Grant

MartynYou make very valid points, and my points weren't so much aimed directly at your post, but were more a catalyst to my thoughts, about the fact that this is only the internet, and not real life. My comme I fully agree, I only post stuff that I would say to someone's face, or that I would be happy with my grandmother reading (but then again my surviving grandmother is pretty liberal, and is not easily offended...but I digress). On the whole we seem to have pretty good core bunch here now, and as a moderator I find myself not doing a heck of a lot of moderating (this was not the case a few months ago). There seems to be little in the way of personal attacks lately (with the well known recent exception...but there was more to this than met the eye). My current bug-bear at present (and I accept that I am getting older, and have two school teachers for parents) is the flagrant disregard for the english language. I will jump on this pretty quickly. But again I digress. Cheers Grant

Ahhhh the voice of intelligence.Well put.

It's only the internet, just take everything at face value. Remember real life is a whole different kettle of fish, and it is important that on forums such as this, people are not always what they seem. Besides, it is highly entertaining. Cheers Grant

Well put Blair. I couldn't agree more.

I agree, liked the new epsiode. The longer show is a vast improvement too. Overall it is highly polished. Loved the dig at the Top Gear track, by Tiff. The Ferrari auction was awesome, I'm amazed at how cheap the Enzo first prototype went for. Cheers Grant

Even thuogh you aren't leaking coolant yet, that gasket is looking pretty scum. I'd get it changed in the near future. It is only very cheap to fix (from memory the gasket was $1.60, and it is a good idea to use new bolts). I had a leak from that gasket in the middle of nowhere last year (in the middle of summer in the hills between Pauanui and Whitianga), was a real pain in the ass having to stop and refill the coolant every 10 minutes. www.finalgear.com New series started in the UK, and the 1st episode is available for downloading. The new episodes are an hour long this time. Hopefully a lot of them will involve Tiff and Jason driving on the track at the same time, like the last series. Cheers Grant

I've got them all on my portable hard drive if anyone wants them. Cheers Grant

If that gasket was leaking it wouldn't be a vacuum leak, but a coolant leak, and you would have coolant leaking (well more like squirting). Cheers Grant

Happy Birthday fulla Have a great day, and behave yourself. (I didn't actually mean the last part of the above sentence). I'll have a beer or two in your honour tonight. Cheers Grant
