  1. Cool, thanks. I've moved to queenstown otherwise id bring it in.. Have found a great tutorial about it that Edwin made on bimmerforums. Also any recommendations for a good specialist down here? Can't find any, although there is a merc and range rover specialist failing that. Don't mind heading through to Alex/Cromwell etc. Dunedin maybe. Still need to find that little oil leak..
  2. Yes a new one.. not after a second hand item. Mine has failed yesterday.. Have found it online at oembimmerparts for $77.85usd but wanted to get it locally if possible. Have just driven 3285km since the 27th of Dec, so something was bound to pop up, car has been awesome the whole time however.
  3. Does anyone have this in stock? p/n 11617501563
  4. Heaps of info about this in the audio section. Any stereo playing through the tape deck adapter will sound average. Yes there are adapter plates but will look naff. Look into the dynavin system for a flush upgrade.
  5. I just used autosol and a cloth.. Worked fine
  6. Was just going to suggest that.. its the only place i know down here.. Best bet might be somewhere in chch? Well maybe not anymore?
  7. I just took out the rear can (i only had 1 as the other was removed previously) and had a 3&1/4" stainless pipe welded in its place, sounds great and the resonator keeps it nice and quiet anyway.
  8. Well if its in remuera probably not.. there are a few houses like those that are close to a mill..But also would have guessed a bmw employee.. Bmw nz?
  9. Thought you were gonna show a kicked in door or keyed paintwork
  10. Try jeffs.co.nz had a car moved from dunedin to queenstown for 250 I think.. Think you can do an estimate I the website. They do weekly trips between town centres.
  11. My guess would've been that sls was deflating a little causing it to rub?
  12. Do you still have sls? If its just the one side rubbing it could be that?
  13. Think the washer bottle is 4.6l? Have a read of this.. Since yours is most likely in Japanese. http://www.bmwtips.com/OwnersManuals/manuals.htm Can't give advice on the flat spot as it could be a million things, I'd try going through the basic steps that make an engine work first Air Fuel Spark Also you should edit your settings and put what city you're in.. Makes life easier. Don't think you're on Auckland as its a damn fine day outside!
  14. The light feature works like this... (easiest way to explain) Park car Turn lights off Turn car off Flash high beams And they'll stay on for about 30 seconds I think. Not sure about the key thing however, I thought the left mirror dipped so long as the mirror selector was in the right position? I think key programming was only via dealerships or maybe one of the sponsors here can do it? Think the key stores separate seat memory positions too? I'd look into the dynavin unit, as far as upgrades go, look at swautomotive on here. Was very lucky to find an imola rot, that sealed the deal for me. As well as being owned by a bmw mechanic. Before mine I'd only seen one in about 1-2 years, a 535 in welly that was one trademe forever. But now 2 530 are on trademe at the moment. Actually about to sell it, when work isn't so crazy and I get a day off. Really need a wagon, was hoping for an e39 msport wagon but pretty hard to find one.
  15. Oh, I actually like the look of those better. Have a read of you manual, you'll find heaps of useful things in there. If its not nz new, here's a link http://www.bmwtips.com/OwnersManuals/manuals.htm If you hold the dsc button in for about 10 seconds it allows a little more slip, think it turns the throttle control off but abs still active. My favourite is the remote window down/up on the remote, works great if the cars been in the sun all day and as you walk towards it hold unlock and they all open. Oh and flashing the high beams when the cars off is helpful to find the front door lock at night.
  16. That is an msport steering wheel, just has wood trim instead of the silver. No?
  17. Thats good of them.. I'm prob going to upgrade too.. He's going to be able to have a nice holiday, He sold 314 Tint deals @ $128 each. Although I'm sure he's working for it.
  18. I think bmworkshop quoted me $750 for a set of oem hella? Was a few months ago. You should try and do the upgrade to the newer set, dont think it was too much more. Keep your old ones and if you sell your car swap them back and sell the lights seperately to recoup the cost as there is definately a market for the lights.. Especially oem ones.
  19. Yeah, have you tried calling some of the forum sponsors? Hellbm Euro-Italian Brent hartge535i, he has a BMW wreckers. That'd be te first places I'd look.
  20. Ouch. Expen$ive if looking for a new one.
  21. Yeah they are pretty busy.. Only spot I could get was the 23rd of December. But rang back a few times and managed to get in on the 7th of December.. as I'm leaving Auckland on the 23rd.
  22. I'm sure someone could check it out for you.. I could do it if it was on a Sunday or Monday.. Had an e34 an e32 and have an e39 so know what to look for. I've used Jeff's before, http://www.jeffs.co.nz/default.asp Think it was 250 from Dunedin to qtown.
