Serviced the daily old - the old fuel filter was installed around the wrong way..I wonder what that did... new Runs so bloody smooth, the body is totally gonna fall apart first. keywords: BMW, bimmer haha

I got one as a gift and I think it's great. I don't have a laptop, I never needed one because my desktop was cheaper and more powerful than any laptop. But now I have an iPad I can sit in the warm lounge and browse the net and check the emails, it's just handy I guess.

Bought my e28 a friend, her name is 85 Toyota corolla 1.3l and she is going to keep my e28 nice and warm in the garage.

I sort of just gave up with flash and iPad. I tried iSwifter but that browser seems like some sort of emulator and runs really slow and is glitchy. Other options i read about sounded very poor so I didn't try them. I very rarely come across flash now days so I just use my computer if something comes a long that i cant play on the iPad.

I wasn't suggesting buying one. If he had a spare or something he could at least cross one thing off the list. And I thought, at least in other series BMWs poor battery performance can cause cluster failure similar to that described. So poor alternator could equal poor battery. So yes, check the charge at least.

The first thing i would do is try a new battery. simple stuff first then you can trouble shoot the alternator.

replaced the thermostat and It doesn't seems to have fixed the problem...touch wood. Ill still fix the servo unit though

Replaced my thermostat, cracked the housing when bolting it back on, said f*ck lots. Drove to work today with lots of coolant spewing everywhere, came home and replaced the housing. Really sick of coolant and it's tendency to go everywhere except where you want it.

Fell in love with the e28 touring as soon as I stumbled a cross a picture on the web, why did BMW not manufacture these? They are soooo cool.

Can't wait for this to sit in my garage and be a project car :/ went trough the small easy stuff first. - adjusted AFM - adjusted idle - ordered thermostat in case temp reading causes wrong fuel mixture etc - replaced fuel pressure regulator - tightened PS pump belt - whatever else I mentioned above... Car runs nicer, still stalls under hard braking but not quite as easily which it a positive anyway. I did a thorough inspection of the brake system and I may have found the problem. The connection between the Hydraulic servo unit and the master cylinder has a nice healthy leak (PS fluid). which has been dripping on to the chassis rail, it manages to make its way under the wheel arches making a big mess. I guess ill replace the main o-rings are on the plunger of the servo unit. There are a few write up's on how to do this but where can I find the O-Rings? I think i need these: TIA
