  1. I recall seeing either this car or a red highline in the late 90's in Napier. It was owned by an old bloke who's Son was adamant that it was an auto M635. It wasn't though, it didn't have the engine. The car stood out because it had a set of Momo R1's on it.
  2. I haven't seen an E30 M3 up for sale on TM for ages. What do you think they are worth in the NZ market? I was suprised to hear that a 1987 year in grey done 254,000kms with a R (repair) Grade just sold in Japan for 3,345,000 yen, which equals $44,000NZD. Then add shipping, GST and compliance. Does anyone know what of any E30 M3;s that have changed hand in NZ over the last 12 months?
  3. The M3 CSL is a great drive and a very capable track day car, but it doesn't get off the ground heritage wise compared to the E30 M3. The E30 M3 was homologated to go racing. Its the most successful touring car of all time. The M3 CSL has no racing heritage as such. On another note, people seem to clap on about black CSL's and how rare they are. Silver Grey looks way better and shows the lines of the car so much better. Is the black rarer because it was less popular than Silver Grey?
  4. The don't have a black headlining, it's grey, so your mates car will be one.
  5. Note the corner splitters. Most IS MS's no longer have them.
  6. Claytons may have sold 16 318IS MS's, but there were at least 50 of them sold new in NZ (built in South Africa). Colours include:, Cosmos Black, Montreal Blue, Techno Violet, Dakar Yellow, Avus Blue, Fiji Green, Alpine White, Hell Red, Boston Green and Arctic Silver.
  7. WR8885 is a different car. It's auto, Boston Green, built in Germany ( MS IS's are built in SA). BMW NZ do lots have pre reg cars hence a lot of number plates being in numerical order.

  9. There is this LHD CSL up for auction in Japan this week, it's done 22,000kms:
  10. It would have been cool on the 18 inch Style 135's that it left the factory with, though it is a bit of a strange colour. The Bluetooth is pretty cool. And the 2 factory 12V plugs in the rare.
  11. This manual E46 320 Touring: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1019762328
  12. I've decoded a VIN of a E46 I'm looking at. It has these option codes, can anyone tell me what they mean? 991 Pre-series Management 916 Development Vehicle W/o Conservation
  13. Sorry to bump an old thread, but does anyone know where I can purchase this locally? Also, I've tried to find the full video on the Vimeo iPad and iPhone app and it doesn't seem to be available? Has anyone streamed it in NZ?
  14. Looks a nice example: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=986315514
  15. 2M isnt the asking price, its the auction start price. Sometimes Japanese car auctions sell for double the start price.
  16. Very low kms (6,000kms), and very nice condition:
  17. Does anyone know how many E34 M5 3.8's were sold new in New Zealand? I know of one, is that it?
  18. The same owner was trying to sell this 6 or so months ago?
  19. Did you count the number of studs? Real style 24's are 5 stud.

I believe there are only 165 RHD S54 powered Z3M Coupes that BMW built. I understand none were sold NZ new, but HellBM have a UK import?
