  1. Im selling my girlfriends old Getrag 220 gearbox. It came out of her NZ new E36 318is Motorsport which has done around 210,000kms. Has issues, pops out of first gear and has a whine. $30 is the res on TM: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=689901985&ed=true
  2. Hope is hasnt been posted before, its a bit of a laugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AENdc50K5aE
  3. You cant be that interested if you dont know they are different cars. The last one for sale (3 or so months ago) had been reregistered which could mean it was a rebuilt write off.
  4. Im putting this up for sale on behalf of my Father. He purchased it back in April for reliable transport to travel around the country for medical treatment. In that time he has done some 10,000 odd kms without any dramas. In Dads ownership he has done the front brake pads, a service and had the front bumper painted. The next service is due in 22,000kms. - 188,400kms - 6 airbags - 5 speed auto - Climate air - Split foldering rear seat - Isofix - Japanese import - Told it was imported by a BMW dealership - BMW Business CD Player - BMW 16 inch alloys - 3 Keys http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=eqg712 Tidy car with stonechips on the bonnet. Price: $4,500 Car is located in Napier
  5. I spotted an E30 333i on holiday here in Napier. Cant be many here in NZ? It was imported from ZA is 1986 as well.
  6. A couple of months ago a 200,000km one sold for around 10K. E36 M3s are great cars, not as good as an E46 M3, and they dont have the motorsport pedigree of the E30 M3. Therefore I cant see values going up to much. Shouldnt a same km E36 M3 and E46 M3 have a price difference of around 7-10K? IMO the sliver E36 M3 and Fast Fours and Small Penises is worth around 15-16K.
  7. $19,250 for one done 203,000kms? WTF? 10K over priced much? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/e36/auction-653500593.htm You can get E46 M3's done half the km's for only a few grand more.
  8. The car is the real deal and a nice example. I know the last owner (guy with the plate OK), he would be aroun 70 and into vintage cars. He always looks after his cars. Its standard - orange indicators etc - unlike the internet pic they are using.
  9. What are your opinions of E46 M3 prices? In the current market where would you see the value of a lets say a factory spec NZ new 2001 car featuring, manual, sliver, 19 inch wheels with black leather. If that spec car was for sale done 50,000kms, 100,000kms or 150,000kms what do you the corresponding values to the kms would be?
  10. I know the first owner of this car (a client of Dads). Funny thing is that the car he replaced the 840 with is also currently for sale on TM. This E46 M3: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-611819463.htm
  11. This one is still for sale: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-627141515.htm Id check the history though, this one has been reregistered - as in it could be a rebuilt write-off.
  12. For those who are interested. This is the advert that BMW NZ used to advertise the E36 318is Motorsport back in the day:
  13. Lowered, CSL front lip and BBS rims: http://www.turners.co.nz/Cars/Search/BMW/318i/1156535/
  14. Not a great photo of it because it was in between cars:
  15. Any change you could post a pic of the ad or add what month/year the ad is in?
  16. I have a database of them. To date I have 29 and there is more. My girlfriend has a Avus Blue one and my Dads partner has a Dakar Yellow one. The rarest colour I know of in NZ is Alpine White. Also on my list is x4 Fiji Green examples. These are the colours that I have on my database: Cosmos Black Avus Blue Techno Violet Dakar Yellow Fiji Green Alpine White Arctic Sliver Bright Red Boston Green
  17. I can see your point, but that was the market on the day, so many people made noises about buying that car but most sat on there hands. Where that auction wasnt so sraight forward was because that car had been siting for a while and was deregistered. The said car is a nice car but factor in it would have required a reVIN, service, a set of tyres, wheels redone, a couple of supermarket marks taken out of it, maybe a set of brakes and the auction success fees you could have sunk another 10K-15K on top of the purchase price. Whats the value of a nice M3 CSL these days in NZ? IMO high 60K's to late 70K's.
  18. Keep your "lol", M3 CSL's are all SMG.
  19. Inner guard? As in the plastic that sits above the wheel?
  20. Rust? Is your car a UK import?
  21. E30 M3 purchasers and owners seem to want the real deal, not the US spec (no dogleg, no fuel tank behind the rear seats) and the Jap spec (no dogleg). The above cars seem to be worth somewhere between 20-30K. The Euro spec cars seem to start at around 35K and go up from there.
  22. Sometimes my girlfriends NZ new E36 318is Motorsport jumps out of 1st gear. It can sometimes happen a couple of times a day or it might now happen for weeks. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Is it a common fault? Could it be a simple fix like a bush or linkage?
  23. I was wondering if this was Jocks old car. Thanks for answering that question for me.
  24. The BMW M3 E30 is blowing up, rocketing 27% in value (US or Europe?) since last year. Is it the most overhyped classic car of our generation, or an icon worth every inflated penny and more? Today's AFTER/DRIVE panel is everything E30:
