Yeah they leak everywhere, not uncommon for leaks to go under windscreen either

Those universal cups are staked in to place, so technically single use. I have replaced a bunch of them and most engineers can do it

How about we compromise and just call us 'morons with taste'...
I can go with that
Today I order two rear tyres for the x5. And it has decided to split a cv boot up front.
Checked it all over on the hoist and then gave it a vacuum, enjoyed the new gear knob, the old one was a bit poo from someone's engagement ring

It is nice but I dont think it's a very sharp price for what appears to be an above average condition, above average km manual 540.
It's a shame they're so rare here, a well appointed facelift msport one would be a real nice car

Get a Ctek or similar, will on demand charge and not destroy the battery
Removed all the heinous wood trims from the x5 to get them painted piano black. Will have to do the shifter surround also as that's silver. I don't know why it had the wood in there and the silver sport pack stuff all mixed up.
Black is good.

That m6 is good buying IMO, obviously a well cared for car, unlike most sub $30k cars of any sort in NZ
I dont think the rod bearing issue is anywhere near as bad as it's made out to be.

I have four e36s and I am definitely a moron

Thanks Hotwire, I'll avoid that hassle altogether.
I see some reasonable reviews on newer Chinavin units running android OS that are well priced.
So at least I would have google maps and porn
Off to eBay then!

Have myself a standard 16:9 nav unit now, but upon pulling the "chinavin" Chinese pile of junk out of the dash I have found my car was originally fitted with the basic system and has different plugs,
Now the question,
Can I simply cut the original plug off mine and wire in the new unit? I am aware nav won't work but I want the OBC functions

The IS250 has some issues but the IS350 is a great car.
The Mondeo is a nicer car to be in than most of the Japanese stuff by far and would be my second recommendation
As Driftit said, most of the reliable stuff has been neglected. So you find a lot of the 1st gen mazda 3s and 6s like to drink some oil, love a good cam chain rattle too.
Forgot the Accord, solid option, great car.

A mate found it. Only need the 3.64 crownwheel and pinion from it. And the stereo will fit my x5 and replace the "chinavin" head unit
In fairness the lhs has some pretty interesting dents
I'll have a n m54b25 for sale soon ?

Only a very short term fix and will make a much bigger mess when time to fix it correctly

Pull them off and give the housings to your local friendly machinist. Had some m57y ones done recently all the shafts were flapping like crazy making a mental noise from exhaust leakage. Only cost a few hundred to re-bush

Pretty cheap from Fcpeuro, u less you have a good local source?

Finally had a breakage of sorts in my e53, exterior door handle gave up when my better half tried to open the door.
In other news it had another service.
-
It is removed with a later firmware update, Google should be able to walk you through that

You know damn well it's true
Can't fit bugger all in my 53.

I like. Will be following this, good work mate.

It will be a getrag 220 and yes all the m5x motors will fit. You will need to unbolt the box and move it back and install a 6 cylinder shifter though.
