That's a real shame. I'd go look at it if it was closer to here but not worth the trouble otherwise.
I do need an m57 in an e36
-
Just had the same drama with our e70. I welded a studay to the lock nut and slide hammered it off, then welded a wheel nut to the spliced section.
What a PITA!

Got me some new monsoons for the 316i for $1. Super excited
Will hopefully get time to paint the style 32s this weekend and chuck them on.
Then drive slowly everywhere

I have a nice set of the factory 16 Msport wheels without tyres if that helps? Have a few set of wheels up here if you're interested

Love Boston coupes!

There's a guy on trademe who sells them new, out near Puketapu behind Hastings
-
I think the only way forward is to buy an e55

Just drill and grub screw it in place, have done a few with no issues

If it helps we tow a 10m three axle with two to three side by sides with both an e53 and e70, with a combined milage of around 300,000km and have yet to rip a draw bar out or run out of brakes

I just returned 8.6L/100km over a 300km trip towing a 1275 clubman for a mate in mine.
X5 life is good

For what it's worth it have a 94 date stamp ecu with EWS
You can have it removed
-
Worth mentioning that you need rod bolts in a JZ to push proper power. Standard piston/rod will manage 500wkw quite well. About the same as an n5x without a rod bolt upgrade

12 minutes ago, E30 325i Rag-Top said:I've been wondering why it's taken the boy racer / tuner fraternity have taken so long to pick up on these models, maybe they are too hooked on their Japanese models to notice the potential of the Euro cars?
I guess it's part of the "culture" of the boy racer community?
I won't be surprised to see a move towards the 335 and such in the near future.
Plenty of mk5+ golf around that have been treated to a tune to make them slightly less disappointing to drive and a few "hot" ST225 Focus popping up. All of which offer the performance of a clapped out GSR or early WRX from the 90s...

You can just hook a line up from the nearest caliper, open both nipples and pump away on the brakes
Easy. Do it all the time in the paddock

I missed the auction, really unhappy because I am dead keen on anything Fiji green
-
But also plays with the belt angle

Looks nice and weak to me.
I'd much prefer to have a classic x-bar

Most e36/46 are like that. The 36 is worse but they were all on the piss even new
-
Why not a 123d? They're super neat

On a sidetrack note: are those pre-facelift kidneys?
Pretty sure she can't say anything if she doesn't know it exists
yeah appears to be a pfl front end

Start with basics ( no doubt you have already), fuel, air, spark, compression and timing
Then I'd be looking at cam/crank sensor testing.
Or finding someone friendly to scan it for you

I'll be watching that auction like a hawk
I believe this one was for sale in Palmy at a dealership two or three years back.
Fiji green makes me fizz
