  1. Yeah, an methanol-water injection system is another alternative. A guy running the same system did it and said it worked very well & suggested it. Didn't get much detail from him however.

Though the biggest factor with that is the corrosion that can take place on the aluminum.

Are there ways around that though? A corrosion inhibitor of some sort? I haven't really looked in to the fine details.

Methanol/water injection through the top of the blower. Keeps everything a bit cooler, the problem with this is the restrictions on how long you can run the engine for without topping the supply up, and the cost of doing so. I have seen this idea utilized multiple times.

The heat sink idea is practical and cost effective.

A strange idea, that works in my mind is a water cooled intake pipe before the blower? There shouldn't be a huge amount of heat generated by a low stressed and low speed rootes type anyway, so you could always tune around that by running a wee bit richer to keep the intake valves cooler.

  2. Haha well played Sir!

I thought that was a Lexus Club? Wang is a distinctly Asian sounding surname.

Better I guess than the "E30 it's Motorsport looking but not really a Motorsport even though it's got the kit and diff and stuff but not the same headliner and besides they never came out in a sedan anyway but if they had this one would be a 4 door motorsport because it's the same spec from factory and it even says so on the registration and some of the South African assembled ones were like this too because they didn't get all the same motorsport stuff like was sold New Zealand new and stuff, club" :D

    You deserve a beer.

Can I be in my own E12 and Rover P6 club? The E12/P6V8 Beige blanket boffins!

  3. I don't understand why people quote "semi forged" pistons. There is no such thing, usually this would equate to drop forging. So, Puss then.

Fully sik BMW? I suppose it isn't running right, or is it full of sick from the poor chaps vomit reaction as they go past? Bet it does a great skid though. Illiterate twit, injeters? Is that a neologism?

  4. Ask away then dude, I'll do my best to answer. There is a boston green 323i coupe [96 I think] in Palmerston north at Kerry Harvey autos. Looks quite good, hasn't got Msport kit though. There is a dark blue 325i coupe in Palmerston North at Adopta car. I'll try find them on trademe.
