1952, side valve 120 miles on her. Small amount of rust in the sills. Reasonable body, and yes the indicators on the roof are a factory Lucas [prince of darkness] item. Completely original unrestored car =P Lovin' it....
Somebody nicked the dizzy cap!
Pretty sweet ride don't you think? For a young chap....

looks like its in a dire need of a service
More like a strange need for me to ground diag pin 7......

Yeah I hate the Jap plate holder. Clear indicators would be great and the tech kit that is meant to be on it according to the build tag.....Your wheels would suit it tooLooks pretty good. Would recommend clear lights all round and lose the jap plate holder (really need to lose mine aswell)

Some more pictures after a good wash...then it rained grrr.
Sorry about the lack of quality.
Any suggestions on what to do to her?
Not too bad, swapped the Hyundai and $500 their way.

I like it!

I'm the same. FM3 is by far my favourite to date,I never get sick of an F355 or E36 M3 on the Burg or Fujimi kaido...or any of the tracks to be honest, don't even get me started on the 2.7 RS 911, phap phap phap.I'm a big fan of FM3
And I hate "drift" modes in other games.
This might just be me but I don’t get it.. If it’s a driving simulator why does it need different modes?
Only complaint with Forza 3 is when you’re using the Xbox steering wheel. Lame 270 degree turning, no clutch pedal, blah. MS need to take a page (or several) from the G25.
Or a sport quattro.....

You have no idea how jealous I am! Looks amazing mate
-
Yum! My e36 could do with that and some m-technesshey
if Ray can't help you out with that, then Nick gets these in every now and then
-
Argh, you need to be closer

I love red. It's fast!
At those miles I would be a bit worried about it throwing a wobbly during a nice Sunday spirited jaunt....
-
I expect the door handle trim would be the same?^^That would be cool Nik - I like that set of rules
Homologation of 10,000 cars might be an issue. Let's face it, apart from outward appearances how much similarity between a "V8 Supercar" and it's current Fold or Holden derivative base model?
I wish we could have a production class battle with the 10,000 cra production rule. Walkinshaw VE2 vs r35 skyline? Could be interesting, 480kw vs 485hp....100kg difference in weight.
A race where manufacturers display proof of how good their production car is. Like the 1930's

I'm in rural wairarapa....If I can get parts through him so can you.Damn you Aucklanders for having badass places like HellBM to buy parts from.
-
How much for front and rear kit? and do you have those little "lip" spoilers for the boot? Can do M Tech
-
That would be around 33 seconds wouldn't it? I don't even think my 320i will do that and it has more valves than a V8 super car.So, a V8 FamilyCar will do a lap around Pukekohe in half the time of a road going M3? Wow. I did not know that.

The top fuel are the second most powerful per liter using only a 2v configuration. The most powerful per liter happens to be a 3.5cc two stroke deisel a Rossi 236r21I'm guessing you're angling toward stupidly large cid supercharged drag motors, a top fuel hemi is limited to a 500ci block (8194cc) and a 14/71 blower, but being impossible to actually measure their power, if its at the lower end of the scale - 7000hp it has an hp/l of 854hp/l, or at the high end of the scale - 8500hp, it has an hp/l of 1037hp/l. They're not designed to be run for longer than 10seconds at a time though.
The BMW 1500cc Turbo F1 engines over clocked their dyno's at 1300hp (qualifying power), so who knows how much power they actually made, but that's 867hp/l for a single hot lap.
A top fuel motor is under so much stress it is not possible to run it for that long, the engine components are too heavy. The crank shaft twists up to 20 degrees....
List of the top 5:
Model car 2 stroke diesel - Rossi 236R21 3.5cc, 3.45hp, 42,600rpm, 1.0145cc/hp
Top fuel dragster V8 supercharged 8194cc, 8000+hp, 8 200rpm, 1.0243cc/hp
F1 racing car 1987 turbo - qualifying 1494cc, 1400+hp, 14 000rpm, 1.0671cc/hp
F1 racing car 1987 turbo - race trim - Honda 1494cc 1000hp, 13 000rpm, 1.4940cc/hp
Honda TT race bike 5cyl [RC163 of 1963] 125cc, 47hp, -----rpm [possibly 24krpm but this is unconfirmed sorry] 2.6596cc/hp
Yes, that was the point. Nothing about poppet spring valve actuation or even desmodromic [ducati, pioneered by mercedes in the 30's] is new. Solinoid actuation is reasonably new though.I think you missed the point of his post.
Pretty sure he is saying that all this tech you think is newer. Is in fact around the same age.

I can't make an excuse for that. Just aslong as people aren't going to say they need "new" tecnology IRS.That still doesnt get past the cart axle in the back though
I'm not a fan of the cart axle....it's not even there for cost purposes....they have spent hundreds of thousands developing the system.

Too true.Reality is they won’t be based on production cars and will share lots of components between teams regardless of “manufacturer” all will have to subscribe to a formula and to a budget and testing cap and all team members will have to be Australian, if anything it wouldn’t be the competition that kills’s the sport it would be the regulations.
Will be very surprised if anything eventuates this decade, as mentioned above, they get the numbers to the events and Holden and Ford sell sh*t loads of cars and it is very entertaining as it is.
I love the "technology" debate....
What "new" technology should they use?
OHC configurations have been around since 1902 from memory. [WW2 aircraft had fuel injection too on a side note.] Four valves per cylinder were on a production indian in 1908, not the first 4v head either. Independent suspension has been around for many, many years. So, none of the "technology" they "lack" is new really is it?
Pointless debate. All that "technology" and who can name the two highest hp per liter motors in the world? I'll give a hint, neither use the wonderful "new" yet 100+ year old technology.
But, in my opinion a production class series would be hugely interesting and far cheaper for the entrants.

That's too true, I usually rely on BNT in masterton, I always get a good deal [trade price] but sometimes it pays to deal with people with some knowledge of the car in question, I get sick of uneducated pre pubescent dimwitssupercheap are just full of 18 year olds, some dont even know cars and jsut work there...like someone i know.. he knows jack crap about cars. he's just learning... hes told me stories about how him and his workmates, get asked these technical / specific parts question i.e torque wrench.. they pretend to look in the computer database and say. nah sorry we dont have any in stock. try repco...
then repco staff up here at westgate... sheesh.. trying to swindle me.. asked for spark plugs for my m50.. they tried to sell me the 18 dollar ones and said it was the only one for my car....
More pics of my e36 coupe

Clears? Agreed. Leather? +257000. BBS? I wish. The jap plate holder is rather fail though.
Enjoying driving it is easy enough, peppy enough and sits on the road brilliantly with the tech suspension. Not the usual boat esque affair![:)](https://bimmersport.co.nz/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png)
