Excellent work thanks mate! I have MSport sway bars than, the rear is 18mm. I'm quite happy now =D
-
Doesn't give me the sizes for the sway bars. Helpful though. I forgot about that link

My 94 E36 has the build code with MSport body and suspension, but, I still "need" to clarify. To my understanding the car will be a wee bit lower with higher damping rates, stiffer springs and fatter sway bars. Am I correct? I am not able to find a way of identifying the struts or springs between standard or MSport, so I measured the hieght between the ground and the front sill [at the rear of front wheel arch] and got 131mm. I measured the dirt covered front sway bar as 25.83mm, which seems too small to me. It sits nice and fairly flat, has brilliant bump controll [near perfect really] and compared to my brothers old E36 325 sedan of the same year, rides very hard and flat.
Any proper info would be great thanks guys!
Oh, the rear sway bar is about as thick as a gnats nudger.....
-
I wonder if an E36 would look good with the whole flare thing....
Yours looks choice mate!
I'm off to google now
-
As long as he learnt from it. Hope he wasn't hurt too.
-
So TCS/ASC is a lie then?
-
If I found a conversion kit for mine at $1000 I think you would have to shoot me to stop me buying it. That's ridiculously cheap.
-
Not fair! I've been looking for a while!
-
That's cheap! Where did you get it?
-
Looks grouse mate! What did the mtech kit set you back?
-
If only people wanted to trade for an e36 these days!
-
How many MM tread dude?
-
Any body know of any interior door trims [door cards] for an e36 coupe? Also for the rear aswell. The fabric is stuffed and the cards the fabric is held to is all warped. and some of the vinyl is peeling and shrinking. Must be in the black and charcoal colors or black on black.
Picture attacted of the colour scheme of the E36.
Thanks guys =D

Would probably be cheaper to trade it on a 328i manual to be honest mate. I've been weighing up a manual conversion for my e36 320i coupe or going and trading up to a 325i coupe.
-
Looks awesome and a brilliant interior too mate. 25det would be nice in that
-
Looks like it's coming along well! If only I could afford such a project.
Isn't there a decent size sway bar you could use instead of a 318i one?
-
What's the motor worth Ray?
-
Pictures please?

I'm finding more and more worrying info about the jags to be honest. Probably should harden up and get a new bike insteadAn XJ40???
BAHAHAHAHAHA!
Stay the hell away, someone there said they are rust buckets, I rekon they're abortion buckets.
Seriously, stick with a BMW/Mercedes if you want European mate.

Joolly good in that case. I'm seriously fussy when it comes to paint. Never really happy =PThe paint on the M3 isn't old at all but just brings a whole new shine to it, the spray on wax is great.
Forgot to mention, the price was $59.00RRP, good buying for the end result IMO.

I think my tool box will be well used and I hope it fits in the boot of the Jag. Brent has offered me a 750i for quite a good deal, but, I want to try a Jag. I'll probably sell it sooner than expected. I'm a bit like that. AA is for pansies and men with brittish cars......sh*t I will have a wee collection with the morries here too.Had another look I would take it to Gary Keith for a PP. Looks alright though worth a punt.
You should be buying a BMW though dude you're type might not be welcome here anymore, you might have to join the AA roadside assist forum, get a loyalty card etc, - AA for quiters aye Doug. lol....
Do you think I can fit a two door 52 Minor in the boot of the Jag?
-
I'd have to be a fool to expect immaculate for that priceNot sure anyone is safe to buy a Jag off lol, He likes cars that are a bit different has the run of the mill, demio, odyssey, emina, corolla etc, but always has a nice euro or two, see a E32 in the background.
He was a fussy buyer (of cars) back in the day, good idea get someone to look at it first, still at the lower end of the price scale though dude so don't expect a $10k car or anything.
haha.
Hopefully I end up with a reasonable jag without diff, trans, rust, electrics, engine and interior porblems....
-
3500. Probably could have gotten more, but, it's all in the name of wheeler dealing. On subject has anyone tried "Grunt", that was good stuff can't find where to buy it.
How much did you get for your coupe dirty?
Grunt? Never heard of it
-
I think so. With the nice wheels. The one at admirals?
He's a nice guy that dealer, been around a while now.
He safe to buy a Jag off then? I might send somebody to check it out before I commit and go up to grab it

Why not check the build tag under the rear seat and then post the numbers up to be decoded.
There's a PDF file floating around here somewhere with all the options code, supposedly there is no such thing as a genuine E36 Msport, mine had the option code for "sports body and suspension" and has the sports seats, yet no black hood lining and Msport steering wheel. But, can't argue with a BMW build tag that matches the chassis number.
From memory option "704" is Msport body and suspension and 304 is the option just for Msport suspension without the kit?
You could basicly option on any Msport option in an E36.
