  1. Cheers, na factory Bilstien sports with standard rear springs and about 20mm drop Eibach front springs. I've borrowed a guard tool just incase
  2. Wow, so much respect for all the work that must go into this sort of thing. Sounds amazing
  3. Ha cheers guys : ) I know the effects of what different offsets, sizes and camber etc have on a car. I have no specific experience on e36 wheel set ups but I know it's not going to be unsafe. I'll align it at work and it'll be fine. Just thought I'd put the pics up as I couldnt find much info before I started doing it. Plus it's always fun to look at what other people are doing and stuff! Anyway I'll throw the pics up here of the finished article in a couple of weeks! Happy modding!
  4. Just thought I'd put these pics up before I lose them. They look pretty wide! I couldn't be arsed jacking them up into the arches but they should hopefully just about tuck under with stretched tyres on. Going to put 205/40/17 on the front and 215/40/17 ont back. Just giving them a little refurb at the mo, can't wait to put them on!
  5. Hi, as title describes, anyone got one lying around that they know is in working order? Mine's died!
  6. Cool no probs, decided to get them from a dealer, pricey but they look good
  7. Yeh I saw that one, it's sold now :s never really been a fan of the 'pig nose' look of the schnitzer pipes though. Probably would have sounded good and bolted straight on!
  8. Hi, after 4 75mm centre caps for my new wheels. Just seeing if any of you guys have some kicking about before I buy some ebay jobbies from America. Can't find 4 schnitzer ones anywhere! There's only one on Ebay. Ta
  9. Hi, I was thinking about 'straight piping' my 328 from the rear axle flanges and doing without a back box/muffler, but I thought I'd see if any of you guys have a bolt on aftermarket muffler set up lying around first! Ta

Really nice man, hope I can afford to own one one day : ) don't think I could ever let it go though if I did
  11. It doesn't really matter which positive point you wire it to. The point you've highlighted on the right is where the main power cable pops up after it's been run along the underside of the car. The two points you are talking about in the red circle you've highlighted on the right are both directly wired to this cable. The fat one goes to the starter motor/alternator and the thinner one goes to the DME engine control unit. But they both run back to the battery so either will be fine I'd assume. Id probably wire it to the 13mm one though (alternator/starter feed) as you can't really go wrong with that one!
  12. Ha both of your cars look mint, ok cool well I'll make sure I post my progress and you can see how I'm getting on. It's so weird over here that everything has to be certified it makes me paranoid to do anything (I still will though), back home in the uk there is no cert at all, you can do whatever you want as long as it meets wof (mot) standards when the yearly test comes around. All that being so, love it over here and very one is so passionate about their cars : )
  13. Anyone got any e36 experience with this width/offset? A quick bit of research says 205/40 front and 215/40 rear? Trying not to do too much arch mod and I'm not going to be going round a track so wide tyres aren't a must. Also Wofs aren't an issue so stretch is fine
  14. Thanks everyone for the input, the style 95's would look awesome but I don't really want to go that big, the OZ's are also cool but I'm goin to go with the ac type 2's! Time for some tyre stretch!!!!!!!!!
  15. Hi For my e36 coupe, got a few styles I like but just thought I'd see if anyone has any lying around that they're fed up of looking at in the garage? Not too fussy about width or if they're staggered or not as I'm willing to do some guard mods and such! Thanks : )
  16. Agreed, but I'm willing to put up with the hassle for the aesthetics of it
  17. Ha I would love some of these too, I can lose the gay towbar then! (Only use it for the bike rack)
  18. Hi Guys Been pondering what wheels to get for my e36 coupe since I've owned it, which is 6 months now! Pretty much set on 17's and I don't mind faffing about with a little bit of guard rolling/spacers/little bit of tyre stretch so they don't have to be in the exact offset range for e36. Anyway I keep coming back to the e34 M5 wheels (turbine/stars and also without either trim fitted they still look good) and can't get enough of the way they look on e36's. Do sets come up often in NZ? There was a slightly damaged set on trade me a little while ago but I missed out on them, haven't seen any since! Thanks : )
  19. Ha I suppose they look ok in that picture : ) cheers
  20. I got rear ended in my e30 last year back in the UK (it was a far from mint condition car but still got plenty of love as everyone thought it looked very cool, because they are!) Anyway there was a similar looking amount of damage to what yours LOOKS like it has. A few days after the accident the assessor came out to value/look at the damage. he basically said 'It's a write off to be honest mate, but you obviously really like it and its getting to be a classic car now so i'll put it to the insurers and see if they'll repair it' They didn't want to repair it but we basically came to an agreement where they gave me 1k pounds (roughly $2000) to walk away and 'get it repaired myself'. The car was never listed as written off, they just didn't want the hassle of repairing a rusty old car where costs might get out of hand. I didn't even know that was an option but it certainly kept paperwork tidy with no dodgy history on the cars record. Plus I got to keep my awesome car! Maybe they do that over here sometimes? Ask them
  21. Yes they're turbo dude. Right up to and inc the F30 328i are 4cyl turbo now.
  22. Bit of a dark picture but you get the idea! Cheers for the welcome
  23. Hi guys Got an e36 328 coupe (converted to manual and still has the standard open diff). Its got the M50 B25 manifold mod, aftermarket exhaust headers, restrictor removed from the air box inlet and a full remap DME for all of the above mods + us spec m3 cams and a free-flowing back-box/straight pipes (just need to find some cams and make up some nice and loud straight pipes!!!!!) Theres a lot more I want to do to it and I will whenever money allows. Only had the car 5 months and have only been here since late last year ( from the UK ). Next thing I do to it will be some wheels as its got some not very nice TSW 17's atm and hopefully sort the exhaust out as its too quiet compared to the E30 325 i had to leave back in the uk. Anyway, look forward to being part of the forum : )
