  1. Hi guys, I really need some help with my e46 dash. So for the last week its been turned on and left to run twice as iv been driving the e30 daily. And today i was walking past it and noticed all the dash lights on, so i go get my key to unlock it and see whats happening but the lock/unlock doesnt work from my key. So i manually unlocked it and sat down to see what lights have gone off (attached is what i found). I turn it on and everything is as per normal, then when i turn it off its back to the dash light circus. I am yet to drive it but will report back and hopefully it drives okay since i booked in a service preemptively and was not expecting it to screw up after just a week of sitting. I have encounted limp mode before and hope it doesnt happen again. Any information or help would be GREATLY appreciated Thank you in advance!
  2. Yeah the E30 atm just got a nice service, leaking a bit of oil out the front, probably should tend to that. Im having dark thoughts about stroker kits, the dark part being the cost. On the up side.YELLOW HEADLIGHTS AND FOGS!
  3. Having thoughts about transforming the E30...............All nice things take money unfortunately

  4. I need all the information i can get before i do undertake this job, and parts list etc which im compiling through other forums atm. Did you end up getting any info on changing the fuel system?
  5. Hi guys, So i'v been searching all over and found that in order to stroke the M20B23 engine, i will need to change the fuel system from the earlier L-Jetronic to the later Motronic system. Is this correct? And if so, has anyone done this and can provide pointers on how to go about this? Any information would be appreciated Cheers in advance!
  6. Thanks for the welcome guys! I would be really keen to come along to the next meet! As for the E30, its an experience for me. Iv parked the E46 and have daily the E30, its just so fun to drive. I gave it a service yesterday so shes running a bit smoother now. Ill tend to the niggly bits such as central locking, lights etc this weekend. Hoping to go visit Brent and get some parts. Ill keep the progress (no matter how minor) updated as best as i can. As for the manual convert, ill have to give Ray a call, hoping is not TOO expensive.
  7. I will add more of the E30 photos as i take them. But heres more of the E46, darth vader spec (almost)
  8. Hi guys, My name is Rohil and iv been meaning to do my intro for a while but have waited till i mamaged to get my hands on 2 BMWs. The first is my daily, the one that started this whole affair, my 2005 E46 320i sedan. Its not hypersuperspeed quick or anything but i have loved it since the moment i got it. Its has an msport package and although the ride quality is somewhat stiff on long drives, it handles amazingly. And yes, auto. Second, my new (old) E30, irlts a 323i sedan, yeeeesssss its a 323 the one with the different fuel system. But thats my project car, i love cars but im not super mechnically minded. I mean i study finance and economics. I can do basic maintenance but not much else, so i decided to get a car i would enjoy working on and learning on. So now i have a E30. At least my girlfriend likes the manual opening sunroof, so shes kinda bought into the dream too. For the E30 i was hoping to get some ideas off forums of which direction to take it. Im going to keep it clean and stock and slowly do it up as i learn more about the engine. A manual swap and engine swap would be great, but costly for a student. Id love to find someone to work with who can show me how to do it though, so if youre keen on a bit of a project let me know. Anyways thats enough rambling from me, im sure youll hear more from me in the near future look for threads like "HELP, my E30 wont start and is in a ball of fire" or something along those lines. But for now, i have more reading to do about mods. Thanks, Rohil
  9. Thanks for that, it sucks there's not much around really, because they are pretty slick looking rims. I guess i could try fit the offset problem, but from what i gather spacers are the only way and i have a feeling that wont work, as they'll end up rubbing, and then comes the guard rolling, which i will make a conscious effort to stay away from.
  10. Cheers for that mate, Good to know that they are out there, i guess i just got to look harder. To throw a spanner in the works id love some 18s, but hey, one is allowed to dream i suppose. Thanks anyways
  11. Hi Guys, This is my first post on these forums so hopefully i dont sound too stupid but here goes... So i have absolutely fallen in love with the gunmetal Style 65 rims off the E39's. However, i have a E46 with Style 68's currently and cannot for the life of me find replicas to fit my car. I have seen some photos of E46's showing off the Style 65's but none i can buy. Would anyone know how i can source some/get them made/provide ways to fit the style 65's overcoming the offset problem without looking ridiculous? Iv attached a photo off of google, and the forum it came off has zero information as well (NOTE: Attached is obviously not my car, just making sure im being legit here) ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
