  1. Pretty sure the software fixes just change default WG position more open so it wont rattle. It then takes longer to close when building boost so increases lag.
  2. Yeah agree 400hp makes the car unmanageable and twitchy and before you know it you are spending more money on suspension upgrades. Its a good car but the power overwhelms the chassis so harder bushings and shocks/dampers are needed to make it handle better. Unless you are a point and shoot kind of guy then yeah go full bolt on and up the boost to 20psi.
  3. It is the solution for all rattling wastegates unless they are too far gone and no more room to adjust. Even a rattling wastegate doesnt necessarily mean HP is being lost or none that you can notice. You will know if you are having a boost issue because car goes into limp mode and you get a code. I have done a lot of logging and my actual boost and actual load follow targets near perfectly. You will lose more hp from degrading plugs than a wastegate issue.
  4. Spend 2-3 days pulling turbos apart to replace the actuator rod mechanism. Or spend a few minutes to tighten a rod to get rid of the dreaded rattle and fix 95% boost leak.
  5. I got some WG rattle in the rear turbo which is quite common. Its easy to fix though jack up remove wheel and reach in with small spanners to tighten the rod. Apply vacuum to WG so you dont under/over tighten it. 1 hour max from start to finish.
  6. Using a browser on a phone blows. Its an app solely for viewing/posting to forums with a small footprint so seems a bit still to say its obsolete.
  7. Still wondering if tapatalk is going to be fixed
  8. Went to JC for a wheel alignment and was pleasantly surprised it was on special for $79. Thats cheaper than the last specialist shop i went to that did a lousy job. And I would place more trust in their machines which they claim run tighter specs than what other shops might use. A few things that need fixing were also pointed out to me which was handy. On top of that they washed car and rims which were filthy. And vacuumed the interior! It took a long time and need to book about a week in advance but it was worth it. Dealers can get bad mouthed a lot online but some things you are better off just going to them for. I diy everything I can and was considering having a go at the alignment myself as i thought it was only the left tie rod that was out. In this case it wasnt worth the effort and time and glad i did as it wasnt just the tie rods out according to the print out of the before and after.
  9. Another biker checking in. Welcome.
  10. Ok so you dont know thanks for clearing that up. Because you seem to make it pretty clear in your first couple of posts they can do this. Anyone else that actually knows this? Without having to drive there to confirm?
  11. Thats helpful. Could you give me a yes no or you dont know?
  12. So they can code a new key for comfort access?

Nice ride! Did you use a white marker on the rubber or do they come stock like that?
  15. Well that still doesnt mean it was a good deal. They retail at over $200k. Its a bit rich for people to be calling out stupid if they are basing their opinion on a rumour.
  16. Depreciation on 7 series is atrocious. I would love to see some numbers backing up claims this was a good deal.
  17. Supercrap has castrol 10/60. Might not be exactly the same as the bmw one unless your racing doubt it would make any difference. Dealers would say otherwise but they do need to justify their mugging tax somehow lol
  18. You paid nearly 1k for an oil change? Hory shet
  19. Jo M do you know where from? I'm hunting for a set of tyres atm and tossing up between buying locally or importing
  20. Could you post pics of the interior wrap? I considered doing this as the oem piano black trim is stunning.
