I think the BMW did well here, the hi and dry being considerably younger still wasn't the winner on the day i dont believe...

Hey nz_inferno (i am sure you have another name !) it cost us around $350 ish i seem to remember. i did already have a key and he turned up at the car, took out the ignition and did the work by the road side. Thanks Promo for that , i could use your services for a 2002 3 series i have that needs one of the older keys, what do they cost roughly? cheers Goffy

Hey Terry i got my one done with beverage locksmiths in Petone, Wellington but there is sure to be people closer to you. i went to our local locksmiths first and they recomended these guys. When we went down to Wellington one week end we booked it in and the guy turned up at our hotel and did it for us. cheers G

Yes Nick does some cool videos, quite eclectic too, he does aircraft as well from what i can remember... He lives in the states and his format is really good, also good to hear a kiwi voice in a video!

Thanks Qube, life was not meant to be serious... all the time!

Cheers guys the first part of the review was the managmire road which leads into the Pahiatua track between masterton and Palmerston north. Yes great roads!

Hey guys i have a 2006 540I m sport. Yesterday winding down the passenger side rear window it made an interesting sound like a chain letting go and falling to the inside of the door and the window went down quite quickly too... now wont come up again surprise surprise... i am assuming the belt on the window regulator has broken and dropped the window. Any other thoughts? i shall hopefully pull the door cover off and see what has happened in the next day or so, i would assume i need a regulator and pelican parts seem to have them in stock, is any of you fine folks have access to these parts for reasonable money assuming that is what it is? thanks for your help! Goffy

Hey love your car dude, MSports are really nice! kinda agree the rims and run flats aren't that forgiving on the back over rougher roads!
-
All sorted thanks. The guy turns up in his van, takes out the ignition and fob and programs another and it looks identical. This one his gives us has a battery that can be replaced as well whereas the original cannot although it is supposed to charge up when it is in the ignition. That cost just under $400 to do. i guess it would be a lot more from a BMW dealer! and it works a treat!

Thanks Charlie, yes i would be mad keen on putting together a 135. 335 and 535I together, i love all of those, might need to be a team effort there! i would certainly be keen on any others out there who would be keen on getting their car reviewed to get in contact. I will be doing a owner review on my 540I msport in the next month or two- i have only just bought it and because its mine i can take all the time i need! I have an opportunity to do a review on an E92 M3 which i hope will pan out... Thanks for the comments Olaf, totally agree sound plays a big part and i still have a ways to go. As i am allowed (i think you know what i mean by this!) i will be getting better gear and thanks to you guys for some insight- will streamline what i do each time. I think everything works better with a bit of humor, will attempt to inject a bit of that along the way.. cheers guys! Graham

Hey guys just to let you know, Beveridge locksmiths in Petone are creating another key fob and programming it for me tomorrow. It costs around $390. I'll let you know if i have any issues.

Err looks like i might have put my reply to Charlie in the wrong place sorry dude! Thanks Jacko for your insight also yes drones are a new thing for me and i am still getting a handle on getting consistent shots. Will continue to practice and every new vid will be an improvement on the last! Yes i had some issues with varying formats which gave a pretty average quality to parts of the video, each thing you do you continue to learn, and yes i will cut out a lot more and keep it sharp, all good comments. Wouldn't mind seeing what you do and get some further insights at some stage! cheers guys

Thanks Charlie for taking the time to critique my vid, hey mate we are all dicks in varying degrees! The fact that you actually took the time to write tells me something, yep agree with this and i will continue to improve, things need to be shorter, better script and rehearsed proper and the large camera was a mistake alas would have re shot but couldn't have the car for any more time so had to use what I had. Its really good to get insight from someone with more experience so thanks again. Your video is very professional cheers!

Greetings Guys for anyone interested in a kiwi view- i reviewed a 2016 M2 recently and cobbled together this video, enjoy!

Hey guys i have just been reading the helpful information. I have just purchased a 2006 540I and it has the same key fob as the one above. the down side is there is only one key fob... i also find the boot button like the issue above works about every third time. so just to clarify if i get one of these cheap fobs off ebay how do you program them or is there a geniune model i can get or are they very pricey? thanks for your help guys Goffy

Here is a car i managed to drive and do some videos of if any are interested. This is the 1.4 turbo petrol version, Rather a nice wee thing and the Italians make such beautiful cars it is very easy to forgive their shortcomings! Alfa Romeo Giulietta

I believe a 335I would be an exciting drive, would love to drive one of those. i would love one of those in a year or so. Still not as much of a sport car but would be a really nice package wouldn't it? Don't shoot me down just on paper they have around 300 horses and i guess still has the BMW attributes of smooth ride, handling and performance with not so much a sporty angle though. More of a question than a statement! Who has one and what are your comments/ feelings?
-
The roads were the lees pakaraka road which is a great road to drive an exciting car. But there are lots of drivers roads over this way. If you ever decide to have a drive over this way it would be worth a look!

Well get out your tissues.. loverly wifey says no... However i still have a 330I and it is really sweet to drive! yes i should have taken out the rim, it was a bit delaminated (the clear cote on the rim more than gravel rash. He does need to replace the screen yes!
