Love it - and great pics too. Very tempting... would need to move on my deeply overinvested 4.4i with Style 168s 😕

Hey Josh
They are an epic car and I love mine, but while the car is 'cheap', you need to have healthy budget for running costs, and they're not a sensible daily driver. If you buy one that hasn't had the road bearings done, then you need $5-7K available to cover that.
Good idea to get a specialist PPI if you can, but any PPI is better than no PPI 👍
HBQ695 was off the road with 'engine failure' - rod bearing/crank failure likely with rebuild 😕 So be cautious. was a $1 NR auction back in 2019...
The other two look decent, depending on whether you want OEM or aftermarket aesthetic.

Today's the fifth anniversary of acquiring the 545i. Yesterday I gave it a thorough wash and dry, and took it up into the hills for some for-sale shots.
Remaining tasks: underbonnet detailing, interior clean and detail.
Looks fantastic! Still love the aesthetic of the E60. Churton Park hills again?

Unfortunately, I agree that the market for out E60 M5s hasn't really firmed up heaps, but...
- there are less for sale these days - majority of M5 activity is F10/F90 now
- most are listed for $30-$40K nowadays - with some under and some over.
@Jun yours is a super tidy example with good spec, low KMs and bearings done - so you're right to look for a decent price.

The car has been behaving itself, aside from the drivers active seat starting to squeak when the side bolstering was moving in the bends. After some cursing, I managed to remove the rear panels from the drivers seat giving access to the gears which needed some lube.
Over the holidays with another mate in his Lexus GS450H we did a small trip up to Opononi thru the Kauri forest on highway 12, the M5 went really well in the tight corners and I can't say enough good things about the PS4s's.
Sensational sky!

I've used Driscoll Motors on Walter Street for general servicing for many years ... do wish Auto38 was still here in Welly of course though - Jon is brilliant.

Maaaybe... Q3 turned out to be just a coil fortunately. #sorted

Update...
E60 M5
- Going great - thoroughly enjoyed it on the last two club runs (Wairarapa and Feilding).
- Need to sort the paint bits and pieces
F30 335i
- Daily driver going well - still get a bit of rattle despite the engine cover being re-fastened by two mechanics 🤔
E53 X5 4.4i
- intermittent ABS trifecta continued - so had it in at Driscolls for troubleshooting - faulty brake light switch replaced, steering angle sensor checked and recalibrated - but it ended up being a faulty pressure sensor in the brand-new ABS pump from the final MBI claim!!! Good to have it sorted but there goes more $$... 🙄 Plenty of labour and a $600 pressure sensor.
- Noticed a clicking on right lock when in the car park at work - in at Driscolls again and turned out to be CV joint... RF boot was torn etc. Looking at my notes in here - this was a 'fix soon' item from 2019... 🤦♂️
- Driver's seat leather needs a clean and tidy up again... Xmas holidays job I'd say.
Wife's Mazda Atenza - sold via TradeMe and replaced with a 2012 Audi Q3 Quattro S-line 2.0TFSI. She loves it and it is a nice vehicle, but ... not so happy with it today! Check engine light, EPC (Engine Power Control) warning light on and engine running rough. It's getting towed tomorrow morning for dealer and MBI to resolve 😕
And in other news I have acquired a 2001 E38 750i SWB individual - which Jon is working on at his leisure... Special? Yes. Sensible? Unlikely...

Does anybody know anyone that owns an Isetta?
We'd like to get one or some together for an event in the New Year
If you own one, or know anyone that does, please contact me.
Cheers!

Having seen this in the metal, it is a stunner - and I'd buy a car off Stu ANY day of the week given the care he puts into his vehicles.
