Never seen those black rings around the rocker shafts before. Are they supposed to be there? If they're not, your retaining plate will come down.

I've taken my wheels to Advanced Chrome Platers in Hamilton. George acid dips the wheels. Cost is about $50 per wheel.

I have a set in Hamilton but they aren't for ABS cars. I'm guessing yours has ABS.

Go Yokohama ADVAN Neova® AD08R. They come in 205/50/15. Calibrate your speedo to suit. Wouldn't recommend them for daily use because they won't last but the grip and feel is rediculously good.
