  1. Looks awesome and puts out good speed considering the extra weight. Some boys at a school i used to teach at made something similar but i think they used a 125cc motorbike engine.
  2. It's a wee cab and we have had it for a little over 5 months, and is the main reason i have an S50 sitting on my garage floor with nothing to put it into After having a look through the paper work it is in fact a 430 with AMG upgrades, front brake upgrade, AMG steering wheel, door sills, dash cluster, shifter, pedals, floor matts, rims and body kit which is why i assumed it was an AMG. It does not get a hell of a lot of use as my partner walks to work, so right now it's her gym/shopping cart. Definitely a great wee car too drive but even though it has the V8 and wide wheels...does not suit me driving it.
  3. That looks like it may be a fuel supply prob. injectors/carby??
  4. Sorry mate. couldnt really work that one out Just because the battery was old and has been replaced, does not mean it may not be the alternator...those symptoms sound like an intermittent alternator. At the clock fix - he had to be pulling your leg...you could always try using a left handed screwdriver
  5. contact any of the forum sponsors, they will all be able too hook you up! http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=10946 http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....=10481&st=0 http://jksoutherneuro.webs.com/
  6. Why not find the info on the factory stereo, instead of pulling it too bits first bro...
  7. No reply to that e-mail as yet Nope i just, bought it off their website...i don't remember having to deal with Licensys at all. That's what i think too!! we shouldn't have too, pplates sold me the euros not Licensys. that's the way i see it. Can't see why i have to go to the manufacturer as i never once dealt with Licensys, only pplates, they were more than happy taking my money they should be more than happy fixing my situation OR getting an explanation from Licensys then getting back too me.
  8. Hi there, welcome to bimmersport...love the colour of your 36! From the rear view it looks slightly lower on the right side (or is someone sitting in there)
  9. I think your reading too much into what kiwitouring was saying, from his post it was assumed the auction had finished! I do agree with you though TM need to sort their sh!t out in so many ways but being they are NZ's largest and main auction site we are monopolised too have to put up with it. Is the auction still running? you should link us too it
  10. Sounds like it may be the alternator as opposed to the battery...maybe pull the multimeter out and check it, or get it tested.
  11. So got an e-mail back from pplates yesterday with this: Hi Clifford, Thanks for your email. Regarding this issue, you will need to contact the Plate Manufacturers, Licensys, on 0800 REMAKE (736 253). Sorry for any inconvenience. Kind regards, ************** Personalised Plates WTF!!! I didn't want to know where to get a replacement, i wanted to know why for $850 they were sooooo sh!t. sent this last night: I can understand i need to contact Licensys to get a replacement but i have not had an explanation as to why a product i purchased off plates.co.nz less than 6 months ago and cost me $850 have deteriorated after washing them. Anyone had issues with germanplates ones? might be better just to break the law with those, instead of having average quality legal ones.
  12. That's what i assumed also...which is why i thought the trader might be pushing up his own auction by outbidding the autobids then withdrawing from the auction.
  13. ^^^ was just gonna reply something similar
  14. Yeah, I agree. nordschleife does have a good point though, i'd be interested in those stats?
  15. Doesn't look as much fun as it would be doing it... that has to be one of the meanest looking Hondas on those wheels.
  16. I second the pre purchase inspection, AA approval is ok but they are a generalised test along the board not specific. I get a funny feeling from the 320's trader, he claims he's registered trader/dealer yet trades as a private...just that and some of his ad seem off. Oh and welcome to Bimmersport dude...glad to see another Dunners guy on board.
  17. That's the one ^^^ I too, bought it years ago and still have plenty.
  18. Sounds like a ridiculous situation to be put in, from Tardme. sounds like the seller may have been buffering the price for their car by bidding for it themselves, via another account. I wonder if Tardme have looked at this traders previous auctions and whether similar things have happened before.
  19. After talking with a friend last night who's a policeman and discussing this, he said, as far as he knows it absolutely says nothing about the LAW being broken unless the tolerance (whatever it may be) is exceeded. And no. Police can not stop you for going 100.1kmh as the police enforcement policy restricts them from doing that. NB: Police Speed Enforcement Policy The current Police speed policy specifies that: * Drivers of vehicles other than heavy motor vehicles who exceed the speed limit by less than 11km/h will not normally be issued with an infringement notice providing their speed does not present a risk to public safety in the prevailing circumstances. * These principles do not constitute a mandate for drivers to exceed the speed limit. In some circumstances exceeding the speed limit by less than 11km/h will pose road safety risks.
  20. What a Dudley do-right guy It's not breaking the law to be 1km over the limit whether it's 50, 80 or 100kmh the usual tolerance before breaking the law is 9km?? which is why i started this thread as it had been reduced to 4km...for this weekend I don't think anyone had said anything about debating speeding tickets...when i got stopped for going 106kmh i just asked the popo if i had been speeding...he told me this weekend, you are and that was it. If it had been decently advertised before the police just bombarded drivers with the change, i'm sure people would be far less ready to scrutinise the police as revenue gatherers.
  21. You can also buy those old school tar and bug remover bottles that work a treat!
  22. where are you located, service history? etc
  23. Chuck Norris doesn't sleep...he just waits!!
  24. Impossible is a big call too make!! Obviously my idea wouldn't have a V10 putting out 1000bhp doing 19000rpm like F1's do, though even the strung out F1 engines have to be reliable these days as engine replacements are only allowed every 2-3 races without receiving a penalty. so having a 500-600bhp V10 is know where near impossible. Don't get me wrong i don't mind turbos, own and have owned many...i still stick with my original statement that turboing an M5 cheapens the brand.
