I went with the new. DBA Street series ceramic pads (pretty cheap). To be honest I’m not too happy with them and will be changing them out (front ones anyway) for some Hawk.

Does anybody have Instagram, more specifically Instagram for their car? 😀 @EuroWagon_NZ

Catless downpipes for 335i
SmackJackTheCrackerMan replied to jamesmcd's topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
For anyone thinking of installing catless Downpipes, here’s a fairly good guide. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104333&fbclid=IwAR0Ui5TMQqyQQ3t4mEjUFL3kJTCQS_2Bme1JFMHf2jH_XYCyPoTQb6IUv4M Mine just arrived, so weather permitting I’ll be installing (or at least trying too) this weekend. Anybody in Wellington/Kapiti who would like to offer a hand would be much appreciated 👍🏼👌🏼🤔😂 there will be some nice craft ale in it for you 🍺 🍻 -
Just a quick vRSF Duel Cone Intake. Sounds pretty good, although it did take around 6 weeks to arrive from Turners Motorsport 🤬

😂😂😂 Unfortunately not, although I’m sure my face was a picture. The panic 🙀 I truly thought I had fully broken my car 😳

I also have the orange MHD WiFi adapter and it works perfectly with iOS. I use the MHD app. Just have to pay for licenses and flasher. my advice would be to make sure your car is on the battery charger for a good long while before starting to write any maps. The first time I tried to write a map onto the DME, my battery wasn’t charged enough and the car freaked out. Unable to write the map and had already wiped the oem map. Windshield wipers going crazy, every warning light flash. Couldn’t start the car. Tried again once the battery had fully charged. No issues.

Hi Jon, I was just browsing Facebook Marketplace and there is a number of E9x breaking. Maybe worth a shot. Mostly up in Auckland.

Yup same here -
WTB E9x review mirror glass. BMW only sell this as a complete unit at over $2k so I would really like to just replace the glass it’s self. mine was cracked when I purchased the car but since we have started getting cold mornings, it has decided to completely detach itself from the rear view and smashed.

Wheel stud conversion
SmackJackTheCrackerMan replied to SmackJackTheCrackerMan's topic in Wheels & Tyres
As far as I’m aware they have to have a cert. -
@NavinWhat exactly have you had done?

Wheel stud conversion
SmackJackTheCrackerMan replied to SmackJackTheCrackerMan's topic in Wheels & Tyres
Yes, I will be putting my car through the cert process just for Peace of mind. I’m also aware that it will be a nightmare. Just reading the Low Volume Vehicle Standard is so confusing 🤦♂️ -
Wheel stud conversion

Thanks but too wide for me too. I’ve got 10mm max. If I can get away without any I most certainly will. -

Thanks for point that out, I’ve found a kit with hardened steel studs which seems much better quality. -
Stock ride height E92 Msport N54...
SmackJackTheCrackerMan replied to jon dee's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Hey Jon, Did you change to the M3 Tension arms? I’ve just installed mine as well as the M3 LCA and I can visually see the negative camber in the front. (I’m yet to have an alignment so hopefully some of that will be removed). -
Is it possible to pass certification with wheel stud conversion? The reason I ask is I have just fitted some coilovers and although the tyre clears, it’s very tight and I would prefer to add a 10mm spacer so I get that “hella flush” fitment 😁. The issue I can see is most spacers of 10mm and under don’t have a centre lip to sit the wheel on while putting the nuts on. My plan would be to buy a decent quality stud conversion kit, paired with a 10mm spacer (or even maybe just a 5mm) as I have to get a cert for the coilovers (and maybe the M3 control arm/tension arms?) trying to squeeze as much as possible into the one certification. I don’t really understand the whole process but seems majorly over the top, expensive and unnecessary complicated. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assembled-by-ecs-parts/wheel-stud-conversion-kit-full-set/001467ecsbkkt/

CSF Race Intercooler install
SmackJackTheCrackerMan replied to SmackJackTheCrackerMan's topic in Performance
Yeah near enough, some light trimming of some of the plastics around that area, but nothing major. I trimmed as little as possible so that nothing lost it’s structure. No logs I’m afraid, but things feel good 😂😂😂 -
CSF Race Intercooler install
SmackJackTheCrackerMan replied to SmackJackTheCrackerMan's topic in Performance
Hey Harry, Yes I managed to get this installed, turned out the rubber seal on the hot side was slightly baggy and was catching. Overall a fairly straight forward install. I got this from FCP Euro and deliver was fairly reasonable. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-high-performance-intercooler-black-csf-8127b if you go on the CSF website there is loads of detail regarding the R&D for this too. https://csfrace.com/industry-best-bmw-n54-intercooler/ -
KW V2 Coilovers
SmackJackTheCrackerMan replied to SmackJackTheCrackerMan's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Hi Herbmiester Did you have any issues with tyre rubbing against locking collar of the coilovers? I have connection and I can only assume that it’s because of the extra negative camber gained from the M3 Control Arm. I will be raising the front a bit more but I didn’t expect to have this issue. -

The problem with that is I need to get a socket through as well to hold the strut not a Allen key.
