Hey guys, Unsure of the rules of listing a car here as a fellow kiwi who resides over the ditch but I’ll try & see what happens. 84,000km’s. Silver Grey over Grey interior with Aluminium Cube trim. I am the 3rd owner. Have had the car for a year and a half, previous owner purchased it from the original owner in 2009. Mainly driven on weekends & open road driving. Car comes with 3 keys, full service history, all original booklets (includes owners manual, service booklets etc) original BMW car cover & complete tool kit set. Roof operation works perfectly with no leaks. Soft top condition is like new. Roof is down almost every drive when no rain. Garaged parked, washed fortnightly. Most recent work done under my ownership: - New A/C - Entire cooling system replaced (radiator, thermostat housing, expansion tank, hoses etc) - Rear brakes (discs & pads) - Oil & filter service - Control arms & bushes Parts used have always been genuine or OEM with work being carried out by BMW specialists or by BMW main dealer. Pirelli P-Zero’s all round. Factory options include: - M-Sport package (body kit styling, m-sport suspension, m-sport multifunction steering wheel, sport seats & 18” wheels) - Harmon Kardon sound system - Parking sensors (front & rear) - Automatic lights - Rain sensor - Cruise Control Cleanest E46 I’ve seen around considering it’s now a 20 year old car. Will be a reluctant and very sad sale (even the mrs is sad) but as our new family grows we’ll require something with more space! Happy to help arrange transport. Looking for $18,000

Damn my old beast! Sad to hear what’s happened, hope to see it revived by the next person. I spent a fortune on it 😅

So cool! Rarely seen in Imola Red, always love touring’s. Good luck!
-
Yeah I think so too, would be a great snatch as I will be listing it for more on TM!

Will provide more photos for whoever wants it, otherwise @estblau on IG you’ll be able to see most of the stuff there. Cheers, Brian

Hey guys reluctantly selling what has been an amazing car to own, my NZ NEW 4.6is in Estoril Blue. 1 of 29 delivered new to NZ in the 2003 year, unsure of how many of those were Estoril Blue. Have owned it for about a year now having used it mostly for big road trips & then 2-3 days a week to the park n ride. Have driven up 90 mile beach to cape rienga & multiple trips to the bach. Currently sits at 197,000km’s with most major work having been done in the last 20,000km’s. Will come with complete service history dating back to 2012 along with original handbooks/manuals, 2 keys & sale agreement. Work done mechanically includes window regulators, cooling system replaced, rocker cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition coils, handbrake lever, cv boots, tie rods, timing chains, gear position switch, starter motor, battery, rotors & pads, boot-lid mechanism, fuel pipe set, abs control unit, PDC sensors & most recently the alternator. Interior is black nappa leather over Titan shadow trim. Heated seats, cruise control, blah blah I’m sure most of you will decode the vin yourselves. My partner & I have recently got engaged & are planning on moving across the pond hence the sale. Not in any rush right now as would like to see this go to a caring new owner. Still a great car to this day, only thing letting it down is the paint (Bonnet could do with a respray & the front bumper is scratched/slightly dented from previous owner). Would be worth the investment on getting it back to its former glory. Feel free to contact me anytime however I may take a little while to respond depending on time of day. My number is 021 265 5240 or you can check out the Instagram @estblau. I’m sure you know values for these everywhere else have risen, however unfortunately I don’t have the time to wait for the NZ market to catch up. Price is $8,500 for bimmersport, will post on trademe soon.

I agree, piano black looks beautiful on a contrasting colour but might drown out the interior with black leather. Nah not yet mate. Gonna start with a new battery if that doesn’t fix it then will order a memory seat module as it’s all integrated. Also found some better lighting today!

The car in discussion is my e53 4.6is. Apologies my initial post wasn’t very clear regarding that detail. Whenever I visit the petrol station I usually just press “FILL” and click the handle into place to let it do it’s thing until it stops. What you said makes sense though as I suppose that’s what happens? Will update this as I get to the bottom of it.

The leak seems to have stopped, however the petrol odour still lurks but not as strong. I will still definitely get it checked out. Thanks for all the advice, appreciate it!

Yeah on my e92 it was a similar thing. Just a little lever you sort of unclip, adjust then clip it back up. Haven’t been able to spot anything of that sort in my E53 😅

Okay so slight problem, due to being unable to adjust my steering wheel I can’t physically remove the instrument cluster to change the bulbs…

184,452km Okay so earlier this week I went & saw Ray @HELLBM up on the coast to pick up a boot-lid lock mechanism. Was the first time I’d ever been there & got to see some of his awesome cars (he was working on his infamous “M140i”) Wish I took photos, only got a sneaky one of his e39. We got the mechanism off a detached boot-lid and I got to pulling apart & re assembling everything. Rookie mistake after everything was re-assembled I realised I had forgotten to re-connect the plug into the actual mechanism 😅 Anyway everything’s all sorted now however will need to clear the code. Also still occasionally being thrown the “Trans. Failsafe Prog” code and Ray says it’s due to my battery having low voltage. Still awaiting my outer right rear CV boot to arrive so will address the battery at the same time. (Hopefully this will fix my seat memory function/steering tilt & spastic left side mirror) Also picked up new instrument cluster bulbs from continental to address the dimming. Installing those this afternoon. 184,780km My leather kit arrived finally & put in some elbow grease to give my interior a bit of a refresh! Cleaned & Conditioned. Hopefully the shine fades once the conditioner seeps into the leather a little but so far loving the product!
