  1. Finally.... someone with some common sense! Well done Ash
  2. True haha I was just about to edit my post with a comment similar to that but you beat me to it. Personally I like the more progressive feel of the Jamex etc. I find the Kings and Dobi ride too hard and jarring. Its probably because I'm a bit older
  3. No, more than likely, it was the shock spring combo that could be provided at the most reasonable cost to competitors. Just because a race class uses them it doesn't mean they are the best. They are probably fine for a race car, which is completely different to a road car. Yeah, I have had Vogtland, Jamex and Kings in various cars. Why would I make a comment if I didn't have personal experience?
  4. and so you bought Kings?? IMO they are one of the worst springs on the market. They are hot wound, where as H&R , Vogtland, Jamex etc are all cold wound. I have had Jamex springs in most of my BMW's and never had a problem. Generally springs don't sag, it is the worn out shock that causes the problems.
  5. How did I miss this thread?? Has to be the best read on Bimmersport in a long time! Hey Heino You don't need a 36 Mafia sticker, you need a 316 Mafia sticker

    My 1971 2002 Build

This has to be one of the BEST projects currently on here. Good luck getting it sorted, I can't wait for the finished product.
  7. hmmmmmmmmm............ My CSi skills detect that there is a clue in his post? Jamex maybe??
  8. I'm gutted now that I sold my e36 coupe now, why couldn't you guys have had this a year or so ago? Nino - How about we start an E38 mafioso? mafioso is so much more grown up than mafia Heino: Make sure you are watching TV3 on Saturday night at 8.30
  9. bahahahaha ... BEST thread in ages!!
  10. Don't be a dumbass and get them compressed. Do it safely and legally and buy proper lowering springs. If you have the correct offset wheels and the correct size tyres you won't need you guards rolled.
  11. Talented guy. Noob question but where do the headlights go?
  12. It's a speed camera van, hardly anything new. If you don't speed you don't get a photo. What?? Did I miss something? When did Speed Camera Vans start attending child abuse incidents?
  13. The 740 is the same. Mind you traction control, decent suspension and good tyres also make it very hard for it "to let go". I think the biggest factor though is driving to the conditions. If it hasn't rained for a while, then buckets down, common sense should say to drive slower and more carefully because the road is obviously going to be very slippery.
  14. wouldn't it be better (and safer) to buy a new one
  15. Really???? I always thought that you washed the car and then used the clay bar to get restore the paint and get rid of the contaminents. The polish wax etc
  16. E36's are exactly the same. I just used a hair dryer to slightly warm the silicone stuff up then spent ages with a screwdriver pulling it all out. It probably took me the best part of a few hours each side. Handy tip for ya: Make sure you wear safety goggles or glasses of some description cos it hurts when it gets in your eyes
  17. From my experience the guards are double skinned and usually have silicone in them ( or similar). You need to heat them up and pull all that stuff out before you can roll the guards.
  18. Must be good money in the "exotic dancing" busines! Calendar girls is always bidding on these sort of items
  19. The guy can't even read his door card properly. E38's have never come out on 245/60R16's.. Oh well - I guess you just can't help some people.
  20. I have NEVER EVER got down to 7 or 8 litres per 100km. The best I have achieved is high 9's! And I love the fact the tyres are way too small for the car (10%)
  21. haha that guy truly is a muppet. No wonder the wheels don't work, thay are a +30 offset and his tyres are miles too big. I can't wait for him to join up
  22. That is an epic crash - glad that the driver is ok
  23. have you checked out his other listings? Some pretty cool cars in there.
