  1. I don't want to sound rude but aren't these the same for much less money? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-364976793.htm
  2. word! Depends on what you call not very much work. If you want to do some pretty serious guard rolling and flaring esp at the rear, and then run the wrong size tyre, yeah they should fit. Save yourself a lot of time and money and buy the correct fitment.
  3. Personally I would stay away from it just because of who is selling it. I have been and checked a few cars out previously from them and have never been happy. I am always a bit suspect aboout traders who only offer a very very limited time to inspect a vehicle. 4 hours is hardly enough especially if over 10 people go to have a look at it. Check out their feedback as well - lots of horror stories. I am surprised thet TM allow them to continue. I suspose they do bring in 1000's of $ of revenue for TM - maybe that is why they are still there.
  4. As the old saying goes: To finish first, first you have to finish! If you thought the jumps were pretty cool on the Bambina wait to the the main event with the (in)famous Inglewood Jumps!
  5. Maybe he is Lucky Pierre.. .......... go on google it
  6. Total waste of time and money. You may as well just give me all your cash you have saved up Lower profile 15" tyres will not only look silly but they will prob create havoc with your auto trans, ABS, speedo etc. Do it once and do it properly. Some nice wide 19" wheels and adjustables would look awesome
  7. Nice work Graham........ I see you beat the mighty Tony Quinn. Not bad for a Targa Rookie shhh...... don't tell anybody about his mechanical issues.. At the end of the day you were still ahead
  8. It must be the stealth model Hartge E39, only the rear badge gives it away the return of the SLAB's Edit: genuine Hartge below
  9. This... It is never a good idea to pass anyone on the inside/left hand side
  10. +1 oh....... and the prople that happily sit on 90km/h UNTIL a passing lane comes along, then they do 110-120km/h. They are the people the really get under my skin. Random question @ Bellicose....... How tall are you?
  11. I have seen you driving down at Mission Bay and would probably believe the public. If you are following a car, by law, you should be able to safely stop behind them - even if their brake lights are NOT working. back on topic - get a lawyer, don't worry about whether the car can or cannot do burnouts, it is a moot point.
  12. Yep - Li = E65, iL = E38. Confusing huh It is a tidy car but standard spec - nothing unusual about it. The cool thing is though you can move the passenger seat from the rear controls!
  13. you know these have no centrecaps? bang on the money
  14. I am pretty sure he is asking if anyone can recommend any good places in Auckland where he can get a full groom done.
  15. try these guys http://www.forzaworks.co.nz/
  16. Hi guys and gals I have for sale a pair of genuine BMW E36 Coupe clear tailights and some Eibach superlow 6 cylinder spirngs. These are left over from my days of owning an E36. They are both listed on Trade Me lights springs will accept the reserve price from Bimmersport members. cheers
  17. Dear oh dear... You cannot just drive onto the wharf and pick stuff up. The container must be picked up by a registered company and then taken to MAF approved facilities to be unloaded. You get charged to have the container picked up by a swinglift, then get charged to get it dropped off, then get charged again to get it picked up. This has nothing to do with MAF or Customs. MAF and Customs are 2 separate entitities so their charges are unrelated. If you can do the whole lot for 3k then obviously there would only be about 10 kits in the container. If you don't unload the container and get it back to the port within a specified period of time then you also get charged detention charges. Then again, what would I know, I have only be doing it for over 5 years
  18. I have underlined the relevant bit. What you have failed to take into account is the port service charges, MAF charges, Container pickup and drop off charges (x2). and then add GST on top of that. As I regularly import containers I do have a fair idea of what is required and the charges. Good on you for having a go but it seems like you didn't really do all of your homework properly Giving out your cost prices is never a good idea
  19. Now who didn't see that coming A container would have been a lot more than that, shipping alone is generally around that mark
  20. Nice looking car, however I am a bit confused. I am sure you were saying in a previous thread how you needed an X5 for practicality and offroad reasons? Has something changed?
