  1. hmmm.. the listing title is BMW 330ci Motorsport and they do not pretend it is an M3, even in the listing it says motorsport. Sure, the marketing may be a bit off but they are hardly trying to decieve people. pot, kettle, black - you seem to be the one being precious about a badge, and it is only a badge after all. How many hundreds of other cars on Trade Me have "M" badges on them? Will you be so up in arms about all of them as well? My point that I was trying to get across is that there are too many members on here who jump up and down for something that is essentially very trivial
  2. I know, it wasn't directed at you
  3. You guys really all need to get over yourselves. This place is getting b*tchier than a hairdresser's salon before a big fat gypsy wedding! I can see the point in discussing the other "fake M3" on here as it genuinely seems that the seller is trying to decieve people. In this case, the marketing may be off the mark but it is still a good looking car and it is a lot of car for the money. It has hardly been "ruined". It seems like some of you trainspotters have nothing better to do than scan Trade Me, hide behind your keyboard and try to find stuff to bitch about. This forum is slowly degrading to the level of the Trade Me forums. *rant over*
  4. Legally they have to honour the global factory warranty - a precendent for this has already been set in NZ courts, ironically with someone who privately imported a Ferrari. There are plenty of independent service agents who can look after your vehicle for you. Already on to that I just quoted a new A4 S-line Avant in full "kiwi spec" 15% cheaper than sourced locally and if need be I can have it here in a week!!
  5. do you know the difference between "solving" and "avoiding" ?
  6. Ha - my mate was bidding on this. I shall tell him to stop!

    E30S50

My understanding is your are not allowed to run centre caps on the race track.

I am by no means an expert racer but surely these are the sort of things should have been checked out when you did your "spanner check", especially when back in August you said you were replacing the gearbox mounts? Buggered engine mounts, loose radiator and a loose bonnet would all stick out like the proverbial wouldn't they?

    Rimpro-Tec

Saw them at Big Boys Toys - FUGLY!! Makes you look like a retard that can't / doesn't trust themselves to be able to park a car
  10. Stop resting your foot on the clutch?
  11. To be honest your advice is not very good especially if you are "in the trade" as you put it. Yours probably didn't drive very well because your tyres are different heights. A 265/35 is about 15mm taller than the 285/30 on the rear. Perhaps it was more to do with your choice of wheel and tyre fitment than the car itself. Just like others on here I have lowered and put E39's onto 19" wheels without any problems. I have always run a 235/35 and 265/30 combo front and rear or 245/35 and 275/30 combo and never had any issues and the cars have always driven very nicely. OP:I say go for it with the M6 wheel but also perhaps look at a mesh type wheel like an LM replica or motorsport style
  12. It has been on Trade Me for at least 3 months. I like how they say in the title "discounted" yet the price hasn't changed haha
  13. Take it but keep your BBS wheels
  14. Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it At least they are not out there tagging your back wall. If it is during school hours I doubt you have a leg to stand on
  15. Fingers crossed they actually have it in stock.
  16. I work part time for a vehicle importer that specialises in bespoke orders and ex-demo vehicles out of the UK. As far as I am aware you can only claim VAT back if a, the car qualifies and b, you are a registered company in the UK. We have brought in quite a few cars for various clients and by far the best way of shipping is a Roll on Roll off system. The cars just get knocked around too much in containers. RVT - your line of thinking is correct regarding VAT. If you buy from a private seller you won't be able to claim VAT. Much like GST here, it does not apply to second hand goods. This is a Merc we have just brought in - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=396004917

    Why?

    Looks like it to me
  18. I hate to say it but it is not the guy in the Micra's fault. You can argue it as much as you like but at the end of the day Mitch failed to stop safely so any insurance that would be paying will be his own.
  19. Thinking of replacing the pushbike definitely some stunning cars there
  20. We specialise in late model, ex-demo cars which makes it a lot easier. there are definitely some pitfalls when buying privately. Just don't buy from an auction house as they do not have to guarantee clear title. Also look out for any accident damge - the best thing is to have someone on the ground over there to check them out f you are looking at an older car.
  21. If you need any help give me a call. We do it quite regularly
  22. Hi Allan You are right, it is a beautiful car. We actually have a company set up in the UK which is very helpful. We also have contacts in the shipping industry which again makes life a lot easier. If you are after something in particular please let me know. We are more than happy to try and help out thanks
  23. Hi guys thought I would throw this up on here on the off chance that someone may be looking http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-396004917.htm If you would like to know more flick me a pm. We are a boutique importer that bring in new and as new vehicles out of the UK. We also specialise in importing to order cheers
  24. This car has been for sale for a looooooong time. I am sure it has been discussed here before and at one stage it was for sale at $1 reserve. The wheels made be realise it was the same car.
