  1. Black slim plates and black roof rack/bike carrier have all gone on the M135i in the last couple weeks. So much nicer not having to disassemble the bike and have the back seats down all the time.
  2. Not today, but yesterday I drove back from Christchurch to Dunedin, and wanted to see just how economical I could be, just for the sake of it. Managed 7.2L/100KM average over the entire journey, including the hills into Dunedin. I'm pretty impressed with that, especially for a modified car. Nearly 3500km on the mods now, and still running fantastic, flashed for 98Oct, running only NPD 100 the entire time. Definitely a comfortable car for long road trips, don't feel exhausted or sore after the drive, a great improvement over my old 90s Subarus/Mitsubishis.
  3. That's a beautiful car actually, love the green.
  4. Sorry to hear about your dad, that's super sad. The E55 will be a great memory of him though I'm sure. A mate has one as well, also with the supercharger reduction pully, a great car. When the intercooler pipe blew on my M135i he loaned me the E55 for a few weeks, and it's definitely a fun car to drive around as a daily.
  5. Aye I watched you up at Chrome, was quite curious what was done to it, looked great and sounded great!
  6. Looks fantastic! Got to love when you end up with two 😂
  7. The new 7 series really gives me Volvo vibes for some reason, not the front end, but the roof and body lines etc.
  8. Drove it to Christchurch and back over the weekend. First decent drive with the mods and tune. I was pleasantly surprised at no drone at all on the open road, the cheap tyres are definitely louder. Far too easy to lose your license when passing people though, just floor it past one car and you're easily at 150 😟
  9. Love the xHP changes, such a great improvement
  10. Definitely a little, but actually to the level I wanted. I wanted a bit of noise, but nothing too obnoxious. With the pops and bangs disabled in MHD, it barely ever makes any, just on the occasional downshift. I'm actually really happy with the sound. The intake definitely gave it some more audible life too.
  11. All sorted over the weekend. Down pipe and intercooler were super quick and easy. Charge pipe was just a bit fiddly to install, but would be easy on a second attempt. Didn't get around to installing the DV+. MHD was also really straight forward, even on 'stage 1' it made a noticeable difference. Now with stage 2+ it's a totally different animal to what it was originally haha. Well worth it all in my opinion, as well as xHP transmission flash too.
  12. Finally fixed it, and upgraded. VRSF Intercooler, Catless down-pipe, and charge pipe installed. Flashed to MHD 2+, it's definitely a quick wee car. Enough for me for now! Took it for a drive and met up with some other BMW people, one being this tidy 335i, looked pretty good together.
  13. Just noticed the same on a thread from barely a month ago, the pictures that were attachments have disappeared.
  14. Cheers for that! Will keep it in mind for sure Parts are all in now, so this long weekend should be getting it all together. 5" intercooler, 4" catless downpipe, replacement for the plastic intercooler pipe to the throttle body, and also a GFB DV+.
  15. Agree with everyone here, you've already gone above and beyond what most sellers would do. You're not a dealership that is required to help here, you're average joe, and they purchased the car as-is where-is. I sold my WRX last week, gave him all receipts/invoices etc. The next day he called about a knocking noise under the car. He brought it around, I found the gearbox mount had broken, organised another and replaced it all within an hour. I feel I've done more than necessary there, and I can't say I'd be willing to do any more in the future if there were any other issues. When you buy a used car from a civilian and not a business, you take the risk of no warranty, and risk finding issues the moment you drive away. It's unreasonable, especially in your situation, to expect a refund for repairs etc. In my opinion.
