  4. Hey Guys, Myself and a few friends have booked for this event - looking to see if anyone else was keen to make it worth renting a garage for the day at the same time , let me know thanks
  5. This sounds exciting - I saw ages ago a thread about someone trying to swap a N54 into a E46 model: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?s=36605d5e7f2537d8fe8ec314e8cb0485&t=583857&page=19 looks like it never made it... edit** looks like on the last page someone reckons they've swapped a N55 into a 1996 E36 - no proof yet tho...

Nice touch, liking the CF diffuser!
  7. thanks for the replies guys Will check them out and see what sort of pricing is quoted, considering both CF sideskirts were like US $500 - i may just order another set
  8. Hi Guys, Anyone got a good contact or know a business that repairs CF Damage to repair
  9. Yep, you'll be in good hand with Ross & Gavin@Bmworkshop - they've done pretty much all the installation of the mods on my 335i Benefits can be good, but to me it's basically a octane bandaid and if the meth dies/stops and if you're tune is relying on it - your engine could be in trouble - Ya - Gull Pukekohe is the only service station in Auckland - you can buy it in drums from other places but it's terrible mileage if you run it full time (around 350Km on a full tank auckland driving) - on track days i am pretty much empty by mid-day (30-40L/100km) I only run it usually when i am doing track days or when i know i am going for a fun drive over the weekend Mods in signature listed are currently installed - Def would be great to catch up some time BTW with my mechanical warranty - it was purchased through AA - I informed them of all the mods installed - i think due to all the installation being down by BMWorkshop they didn't have a issue - they did ask for some invoices and they sent someone to BMWorkshop to check the car - but car's still covered
  10. Sounds like a great buy! - 6MT are rare What sort of KM is on the car? Mine was around 40K when i bought it and it needed the walnut blasting on the intakes to clear them - then i had the BMS OCC installed You can definitely make it a M3 Killer without spending much - Some quality mods there, - you should be set to run higher tune without going into limp mode- i don't think you need the downpipe fix (flash tune it's coded out) and from memory with the JB4 it clears that code - i think the mod was there for previous versions of the JB4 (double check tho) So you're going down the Meth route - brave! I've just seen and read some horror stories and to me with all the general checking to make sure they system is working ( no air, lines not tangled etc etc) too much trouble for a DD That's the reason i went down the E85 fuel route for the power tune / tracking The car is a total different beast once the factory tune has been replaced - will bring a big smile to the face when you plant it With the OFT tune 98 Fuel - around 105HP at the wheels difference - Torque difference of 190Nm E85 Fuel - around 135HP at the wheels difference - Torque difference of 271Nm My plan if i go down the JB4 route will be to run stacked mode (BMS backend flash or Wedge backend flash with JB4 piggy) - am sure i can get some higher HP figures with the stock turbo's My only suggestion is with the higher HP figures on the car you look at getting a LSD and suspension sorted out -
  11. Congrats Ahh the last N54 version before they switched to the N55 engine, the N54 is a lot more tunable for power then the N55 I see you have mod list already sorted - I am still trying to work out if i am switching to a JB4 or Cobb tune from the PTF guys - would be keen to hear about how the JB4 goes with your car
  12. Quick search Vac Motorsports - http://store.vacmotorsports.com/wavetrac----helical-lsd-e39--z8-p2117.aspx - http://store.vacmotorsports.com/quaife---about-quaifes-atb-differential-for-bmw-models-p108.aspx
  13. Hey Julian, Not sure about the vendor link (never bought anything from them) Do you know if the Quaife model that applies to the E39 is the same as the 335i? (quick check at hpashop.com shows them for around $1400 US) Has anyone reviewed the Wavetrac LSD on the e39 on the forums etc? From my point of view - the technology behind how the wavetrac operates is superior to how the Quaife Unit works - but i am sure someone can chime in
  14. LOL - it's the same one as mine Julian! For me the price difference between the Quaife Unit and the Wavetrac was $50 I knew Quaife was a well known brand in motorsport and wanted to know why quite a few of the high HP N54 models were putting the wavetrac lsd I ended up going the Wavetrac due to its technology difference, to me it was the better technology - it would never operate as a open diff while the Quaife could in certain conditions http://www.wavetrac.net/technical.htm - "how its different tab" Gavin & Ross @BMWorkshop were a bit unsure about my option - but the comments i got from them it was a well machined and they were impressed at the quality of the LSD For me the Wavetrac LSD has been brilliant and its worked as intended
  15. ahh nice, really looking forward to seeing that! which bits are you looking at doing LSD & ??
  16. Nice work with the leather! WRU pics of the SC install
  17. Looks good, any shots of a carbon fiber trim ? I have the factory metal finish on mine and was looking to change it to the carbon fiber - price indication on getting that done please thanks
  18. Turned on K band....and got so many false alerts - it was useless around towns etc Basically turned K band off and will need to keep an eye out for the vans parked on the side of the motorways :S
  19. Hi Josh Welcome, good luck with your search - the 335i's are a fun car to drive

    Dyno Run

Nice result, seems with the Cobb map you're holding more TQ then my 98map - tho not sure why the graph is not showing above 6K RPM's
  21. From my understanding SS lines need a cert? I need to get one anyway for my coilovers so will get both cert at the same time
  22. 2014 Mod List As i have been bitten with the track bug, will be focussing on that Upgrade brake pads from OEM SS brake lines to replace rubber OEM lines Surprised that i haven't warped or broken my stock brake setup, its held up well! Will see how that goes for a couple of track days and if needed will upgrade to AP Racing BBK if fading/heating/etc is an issue Apex EC-7 Wheels Semi Slick tyres M3 Suspension conversion kit Changing my tune from the Open Flash Tablet to running a stacked setup with the JB4 (backend flash + piggy) Replace spark plugs with NGK 5992 (.022 gap)

looking good mate So I heard from Seth you removed the rear tint? - much difference within the cabin? Was hoping he would come up with a solution, the tint guys in the US seem to tint these dot matrix glass fine .......
  24. There is a aftermarket flex fuel kit for the 335i that links in with the procede piggyback / stack combo (flash + piggyback) - bit pricey and due to a few concerns i have with this vendor , i don't want to be locked into their system http://www.procedetuning.com/BMW/n54/styled-21/styled-19/index.html With the new inline fuel pump i am able to run full e85 without blending on the stock turbo's , however when I upgrade the turbo's due to the fuelling issues on the 335i - i will only be able to do a e50 or e60 mix hope a new aftermarket HPFP will be released soon to fix this issue!
  25. Got my ethanol test kit today - works like a treat! more info: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22709
