You say you have very few demerit points left? How is a manual gunna change anything, if you are down to the bone in an auto you will more than likely get pwnd by the cops anyway, at least get a manual and go out in style btw i have an amp you can buy

Haha this is looking good, cant wait to see it finished, whats it cost you so far? for turbo, link etc, also could you get clones made of your manifold?
-
I cant be bothered reading through all the posts but for all this money being spent, why not just buy a M3??? Excuse my ignorance if you have other plans but yea just kinda wierd....
-
Looks like hes donated a kidney aswell

Haha, yea i think every 16 year old with a BMW has this problem, get it manual, you will never regret it....
-
Exactly the same thing happened to my car, would reverse but just rev out in drive gears. I looked at reconditioning the auto, buying a new auto etc, couldnt be bothered, just did the manual swap. Best thing i ever did.

-
E30 Bonnet, any colour, must be straight and preferably with heat padding on inside in good condition
-
I want one! unless you are painting the whole car theres probably no point painting the engine bay, but hey your car man
-
Its a hard one, but ill have to go with the Borbets, and yea polished lip would look :pimp:
-
Pre facelift (as i dont know if facelift fit) It is the steel piece about an inch thick that runs along the front of the car under the lights and above the bumper, it connects up with the front quarter panels at the sides, looking for cheap one, dont matter what colour.
-
ohh ratshit buzz dude, owell good luck with the clean whos hi ab?
-
Including seats? yea sounds about right, seats would be pretty new though..
-
As long as you keep original rail mounting points and seat belt mounting points you will be fine, i have adapted my racepros brackets to fit the e30 rails, and it cost me nothing to mount them and have had no problems from cops, LTSA, or anywhere i go to get a warrent. also as said above your car is two door you will have to be careful to choose seats that recline and offer enough room for a person to get in and out of the back seat quickly and safely in any situation. If you stick to these rules you will be fine.

It is a good idea to get interest in other places then let all that interest turn into a frenzy on trade me. Will wait for trademe auction and bid on it there, how manys km's has it done unless you have stated already.... just holla when it goes to tard me

Cert is required if you are changing the mounting points of the seat rails, or teh mounting points of the seatbelt. If you wanted to put any other seats in you car id stick with the e30 rails, as your car is two door you will have to be careful to choose seats that recline and offer enough room for a person to get in and out of the back seat quickly and safely in any situation. Welder or angle iron, its an easy job that takes only about 2-3 hours, depending on skill and materials etc. Welder is a hell of alot easier as it involves no fabrication but angle iron brackets are usually pretty simple. As for any type of bucket seats the will have adjustable rails, make brackets/weld these to your original rails and wala!!

http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=6079 Or buy these seats, would work if your car was 4 door....... look pretty good to, maybe colour code rear seats....
-
Unless they are heated, vibrating, electronic reclining etc etc then i dont think it would be that expensive, i mean say e36 seats from wreckers, 300 - 400, a foot of angle iron and some kiwi know how it could be accomplished preety cheap.... I mean why spend 2 - 3 grand on new seats for a car this old?
-
HAHA badass even got full frontal weight reduction lol any reason for taking the engine out??? replacing it with something better? or paint?
-
haha too bad i wasnt working last night, was at a foam rave, wouldnt know why the forest wasnt going, usually only closed for weather reasons.... maybe they were short staffed
-
What sort of seats? and from what sort of car? Depends what extent you would want to go to, angle iron brackets and small rail modifications will work as long as you keep original seat belt mounts and mounting points for the seats you will be fine, usually fit the new seats to original rails.
