    Wow coffee

You can also add a couple of drops of vanilla essence to coffee to lift it, when you're feeling like a change. Rum essence does NOT work. Ghastly. Try a sprinkle of cinnamon or chocolate on top of the coffee also. I'd been using so much milk at work, doing just what NZ320i posted, that a few years ago they put up a sign telling people that the provided milk was just for adding to the coffee and tea, not for drinking. We have a coffe machine at work, but the coffe is smegging dreadful from it. On my machine at home I prefer the flavoured beans, like Irish Cream or Rum and Toffee. Everyone to their own tastes.
  2. joshnz, is your car not covered for free glass repairs with your insurance??
  3. For sure! That'd make everyone's car a commercial vehicle!
  4. LOL! Well, most non-Holden peeps say that Holdens aren't real cars, so maybe they're taking their inferiority complex out on you??
  5. Hoo f**king ray!! At last someone other than me who sees that!
  6. LOL - I knew you'd chime in, mate!! Fortunately, she's firmly in the anti-Honda camp.
  7. Bugger! An E30 would have the same effect...
  8. She's safe - I'll just tell her you drive a Suzuki and she won't be at all interested ... LOL
  9. Cool! I'll pass that along.
  10. She's thinking of going late - Kanye West for a support act?? What were they thinking?
  11. That's what I figured and what I told him. My son failed a wof at the same wof station for a rust hole in the bottom of the door. We got a mate to repair it and when he went back the same bloke wouldn't accept it. So we waited until the following day and got a different bloke who couldn't see why it needed repair in the first place and passed it straight away. Wof inspectors really can be jumped-up little hitlers!! Personally I like the space between the letters and numbers on a Euro plate. It just looks more 'right'.
  12. My daughter is - so you keep right away from her!!
  13. A work colleague has just failed a WOF 'cos of his plates. I didn't think they were a warrantable item? Anyway, the bloke at the wof station says that NZ plates must be 6 characters max and he's got a space between his numbers. This space is regarded as a character, so he has 7 characters - so his plates are illegal. Wot a crock of sh*t, imo!
  14. All you'd get is satisfaction. As it stands, the person who hit you gets to pay a couple of bucks to their insurance company and probably blames you anyway. Meanwhile, you're all pissed off (rightly so) and are gonna be without a car for a week or so at the panel beaters - or longer if you have to wait for an insurance payout.
  15. Ouch!! That's a real pity - your car looks mint! I hope you shopped the stupid bitch to the cops?? Its certainly an offence. If they do write it off, you can always take the cheque then buy it from the insurance company, of course.
  16. I actually like the first one linked. Very nice wheels for a start, plus 2 doors (less window motor problem etc, plus you can trap people in the back better when you crash!
  17. I agree with those praising AMI. My wife rolled her car a few years ago on the Desert Rd. The wof was 5 weeks overdue. We thought we'd be out of luck and mentally wrote off the $30k. However, they paid out in full without any fuss at all. I've had 3 windscreens for free in the past 4 years, too. All that said, I've been driving since 1964 and never had an insurance claim, other than glass and that dog I hit this year, which cost AMI a massive $400 (my excess is $150). I have no idea what my insurance costs are per annum- its just money which goes out automatically.
  18. I supposes I could always get some spray paint for that ugly white interior. Not my fav Ferarri - looks like a Datsun 240Z..
  19. E30stz, thanks, mate. I'd never heard of that before. BTW, Em- it sounds like a nice car for its age and in great condition. Good luck!
  20. We're all different. I care not a whit for such trivia. For me - screw the buggers on and be done with it.
  21. Em, I'm not sure. but I think your parents would have to be the registered owners for insurance purposes, if that was the way you wanted to go?
  22. I have no issue with any of those cars, even though many made me smile. They are personal expressions of taste. Their taste and mine merely do not coincide. This doesn't make them 'wrong'. People are too eager to impress their personal views as absolutes.
  23. It looks like a lot of fun, but no, I won't be trying it!!
  24. This has intrigued me. I have a wide foot too, (my work shoes are extra wide EEE) but I've never found this to be a problem. We do all sorts of things without thinking about it and I had no real idea where my foot position was in normal driving, so I took notice yesterday. I rest my heel pretty much directly in front of the brake pedal and when I'm on the accelerator, my foot is tipped about 35 degrees to the right accordingly. I tried and I simply could not manage to hit the brake and accelerator together, since when I brake, my foot twists back to straight and doesn't come anywhere near the accelerator. Have you looked at your foot position? Note - I'm not saying my position is any better or worse or evern different to anyone elses, but I did find it very hard to hit both pedals at once. I think I grew into this over the past 43 years I've been driving, because its a faster and easier action twisting than lifting and moving the foot. I'm interested to see how you place your feet.
