  1. LOL - I'll never be rich, mate - money has little meaning to me...
  2. A timely topic. I chucked some petrol in this am and even though I don't normally know what the price per litre is, I was struck when I saw the 1.599 bit on the pump! I could of course take the free bus to work, but that'd mean mixing with the hoi polloi, or even worse - students!! Phew, I'm glad I don't drive a V8! Even my old Radisich Telstar would have been a burden - man that bugger was thirsty!
  3. 325GRANT - thanks, for thinking of the bottom line, mate!! Emma - at least I realised it as a joke FWIW, Rammstein are among my daughter's playlist - she's 23. I doesn't matter what anyone's opinion of any band is - people all have different tastes in music as with other things. Nothing is wrong - just opinions. opinions

Whoo Hoo, we've just upgraded to 100Mps - pictures fast mmmmmmmmmmmm
  5. LOL - I smoked many strange brews in my time....
  6. LOL - its hardly different, people all over the world paint their guitars to mirror their interests. Its all about expressing one's personality. Scroll through here: custom paint and here: more weird ones: Jacksons
  7. David - I like that - bloody nice job!
  8. What is bling? Is it that stuff which drips out of my exhaust pipe on a cold morning? Or is it that noise when you run over a stone which flicks out and hits a road sign?
  9. LOL- I'm 57 yo! Rammstein et al - not my scene. I've been playing in bands since 1961. I've bought and sold enough guitars to fill a garage - talk about wasting money - I decided a few years back to never sell any more gear - there's a couple of them going to be buried with me ...
  10. Quite correct, but I'm a muso, not a collector. All of my instruments are working pieces. Getting the money for them will be my kid's problem after I die! mmmm M badge Alpina.... I thought ALL sport EVOs were already yellow???
  11. Yes, I've painted many guitars with std auto paint (which was what Fender used in the beginning) and gloss or satin (dep on finish I wanted) clear coats until I had the finish the way I wanted it. This one's gonna have to be airbrushed for the BMW logo, though. Sunburst was the reason I first started repainting guitars - just got too boring.
  12. Here's the purple bass- http://nzguitars.com/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=557
  13. ROTFL - so do many others, mate!!
  14. LOL- its only money One of my Fenders, a 1972 Precision Bass, is painted in BMW Technik Purple!
  15. I'm planning on painting one of my guitars to match my car and asked photoshoppers on one of the guitar sites I frequent to come up with ideas. This is the best, imo, so far. Anyone else seen a BMW themed guitar? I'd appreciate any links - thanks. BTW - that wavy line wouldn't be there, if I chose this idea.

Please excuse what must be very simple and basic questions to you experts on mods. Do you need to get certification when you change up in engine size? What effect does it have on insurance? Reason I ask is that I know someone who had a '70s Mitsi Colt in which he had shoved a 2l engine, to replace the original 1.6l. He had to get it certified and his insurance company wouldn't touch it.
  17. That lighting kit looks brilliant, if you'll pardon the pun...
  18. I have a little BMW bag full of washing goodies they gave me when I bought my car. I don't know if its the same stuff you're talking about, but I like it. That said, I'll probably go back to Meguires when I've finished off the BMW stuff...
  19. There's a Ti in the carpark here which has '2004 Motorsport' on the licence label, but no other ID badges on it. As its only got a single exhaust, I'm assuming a 318? Personally, I can't see a single feature on the car which tells me its a Motorsport model... it all seems a bit 'ghey' as some people would put it.
  20. Those seats have made an immense difference. Excellent. It must feels like a new car to you..
  21. .. and what's the difference between a 'motorsport' and an 'M'?
  22. Basically - never ask the govt anything! Although ignorance is no excuse, at least you'll be able to say you didn't know without lying...
  23. They were cool in America in the '50s. Mind you, I can't talk - I wnet through that dreadful big white lettering on the tyres. We also painted a thin white stripe around them in those days (early '70s)
