i went cruzin today and did a little bit o window shoppin and spotted an intake pipe for a CAI. planning to put the pod just where the lower vent is in the bumper and run the pipe back to the throttle body any suggestions?intake temperature should be way way way down from under bonnet temps :mosh: also would i have that nice intake sound in the front bumper or will i not have the sound ne more???

what engine oil are you running in your beema??wat lasts long and wats good etc coz im lookin to do an oil change asap post what oil youre using and your views on it peace

thanx for the help il get a heat shield today and get that rear turbo muffler put on this week for a nicer sound and then just freshen up the fluids etc and leave it at that now for the exterior :rambo:

got a ssuper silver e30 318i 4 door now but before i had a toyota 1.3 2 door 87 honda civic 2 door 1.5 dual carb mind you both were quick for wat they were coz i had sum work dun to both for the fun of it they both go pretty hard but now i got a beema and i aint lookn back its just gr8 not to hear passengers bitchin bout movin a seat forward haha :mosh:

where do you get the eye lids for the e30 ???how much do they cost etc???

how much would it cost to lighten the fly wheel?how big is the difference?

how difficult is it to swap a throttle body i gotta 1.8i and wat would be the best throttle body for it and any body done this before maybe have some pics?? is it worth doing this modification? :drunk:

i put the pod on and it has helped a bit in the sense that before the pod the revs between 4500 to the redline would take a while after the pod its way better the pod i got has no heat shield but il be getting one soon if its really worth it???

thanx for the replys but im gettin this stuff done for almost free and the bimmer already has a 2.5 from the backbox to tha rear muffler,the rear muffler is very restrictive and quiet just lookin for a growl and some better flow :drunk:

if i put a pod filter with heat shield in my 318i how much hp gain and also would it be noticably betta on fuel ??also gettin a turbo muffler which is quiet but after 4500rpm it has very good extraction properties and are sed to bump hp up by 12 and torque by 5 so yea ne info please write up and also anyways you could make a 1.8 a little lighter on fuel :mosh: thanx

there are back boxes called turbo flow boxes they provide good power gains too with a nice deep sound and really look nice with some chrome tipped pipes welded on.most beemas already have quite thick piping in their stock exhaust system so u shouldnt need to do a whole new exhaust and big boring these european cars degrades them they need to howl and growl not bark and drown the f**k out of you ears beemas are class treat em that way hope the info is useful maybe just ask a pitstop about a turbo back/turbo flow muffler theyl know wat to do peace :mosh:
