No problem - like I said, I'll update you when I know more.
That is true. I don't know the whole ins and outs about what happened. Just been informed that the finance company picked the car up from the owner's place (still has quite a few of his belongings in the car I might add) and whether I know of anyone that might want to buy it.
It won't be on Turner's yet ... I don't even know if it is going to be on there - I was just guessing? Most likely though - doesn't Turners do most of these Repo sells? I just hope it doesn't end up at the Repo car yard that advertises on Trademe all time ...
Not "not at Turners on their website", not there full stop as of this morning and they don't know anything about it. They do have an M5.. It depends on the finance company where they send it. The Repo cars TM guy buys at Turners and sells them off, although if the $1 reserve doens't make him a profit, he has someone else bid and the sale mysteriously falls through. If it's Marac, they will sell themselves
Confirmed - this car is delimited - I just cross checked it with the details I have. And basically the same spec as my car - no Xenon and no PDC.

Not at Turners and not through the guys who would normally pick something like this up. Will turn up soon though I'm sure.

Hope they're in Akld, I have one stuck together.

If the centre cap tool fits a 15" centre, I'll take it.
-
I would bet it's a repo. If you don't make any claim about what it is, there is no comeback.
-
That's the thing, you would love to drive it everyday but just couldn't, fear of sun exposure, rain, dirt etc
"Theft, vandalism, poor parking, etc"
Still a lovely looking car.

That would be me. Sorry I was in a rush, angry toddler refusing to go to sleep at home, decided to drown him out with some Pixies and he fell asleep.

I've seen that around a lot, used to live round the corner, it is gorgeous. And he was quite fanatical about cleaning it.

2.5 litre or bigger Legacy/Outback, safe, roomy, go well and capable of racking up big k's without costing the earth. They are at least 4 star if not 5 for safety from '03 on. Plus 4wd which can't hurt given your location.

I almost hate to bring this up, but I'm sure I saw a 4.4is last week in Akld. Only reason I noticed it was I didn't know they made one. . . . I can vouch for the 4.8, that's quick for a truck, felt better than the Cayenne S I drove last year.

Reading this thread, it's easy to get the impression from some posts that all BMW's are cheap to run and Subaru's aren't . . .
For a start, you're not comparing apples with apples. The only thing your RS has remotely in common with a 318 is the used $$ value. There's nothing else comparable between them - size, styling, mechanical layout, specifications, performance, driving characteristics etc etc. You're trying to make an emotional decision and then defend it with logic. Fact is, if you want cheap reliable motoring, buy a late model Corolla. Anything else is a calculated risk.
I drive an early Legacy GT single turbo wagon as a daily driver while the M3 stays cosily tucked up in the shed, and i grimace every time i fill the fuel tank. I grit my teeth at only getting 30,000km out of a set of Toyo T1R tyres. I block my ears when I hear talk of head gasket failures, big-end failures, lunched turbo's and CV joints. But I get a perverse grin when I pull out to pass, or see a sign warning of a winding road ahead. It's like owning an M3 station wagon in disguise. Logically, using the GT as a daily driver is not clever in some ways, but I works for me because I can carry crap around when necessary, tow crap when necessary, and carry five people when necessary. These features make it easier to justify my choice of transport. So far, my expense has been limited to maintenance items, not expensive things breaking.
My suggestion is to figure out what your priorities in a vehicle are, and then arrange a test drive if possible in a few of the vehicle options available to you. I'm picking that your decision will then become much easier to make. Remember, you're the one who's going to be driving the car, and you're the one who needs to be happy with it.
My $0.02c
Ahh, the voice of common sense, I still miss my single turbo RS. CV joints were the only issue in 140,000kms. Cheap transport, Corolla, of pretty much any vintage.

I'm about 99% certain a friend of mine owned this about 10 yrs ago, at 44km, and equally sure he paid around $50-60k for it, making it way over priced now.
The exhaust is awful, it drones like you wouldn't believe and the interior would eventually turn you into a serial killer. At least now it has some half decent wheels, the originals were ugly beyond belief.

I may take you up on it, have spent most of the day sorting the car window, I can't be without it for 3 weeks, so they're trying to find a second hand one. Will deal with the iPhone tomorrow.Shameless plug -- iPhone Repair
I'll do you a good Bimmersport Member deal on the repair of your iPhone.

Isn't the 6 speed in the Supra about $6k? Not that cost effective. I can sell you a whole manual Supra for $10k or so.
Rileys was a Lexus V8 to a Toyota box I 'm pretty sure Glenn.

After spending between 3.15 and 3.50 this morning trying to calm my toddler down and then back to bed, I was woken by a car alarm. You guessed it, mine.
My last car was stolen (Legacy Turbo) to be replaced by the LS400 (nobody will steal that) and now this.
Smashed the passengers window, rummaged around inside and ran off, taking nothing. So stupid they couldn't even find the CD player and CDs.
Wankers,

Well done on the sale, keep boosting those prices, means I can justify spending more on ours.

Ignore Baycorp, go to the LTSA and plead your case, poverty, student(?), whatever works and keep going with them until you have exhausted everything. If you sort it with them, you can ignore Baycorp.

Nice. Real nice.

The brown thing looks like a Marina.

Erm, nice... kit?
Would prefer this one if we're talking about the car... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-265318957.htm
Same. But hard to justify the price diff for a weekend toy between my 'vert and this. Never say never though.
Im 99.9% sure thats a dude.
What I thought, but if so, that's one serious pair of man boobs in photo 1!

Looked tidy, with more k's than mine and no wof, on Fanshawe St yesterday.
And in a lmao moment, a 3 series (E46 or 90) at the Harvey Norman car park in Mt Wgtn. A woman driver who had driven over the stops at the end of the car park into the ditch and bellied herself. About 9 guys trying to push it out. Tried to get a photo but got told off for being mean by my other half.
