1) Can you get decent cup holders for an E36?

2) If the ignition key turns around and around in the ignition barrel, then catches, is this:

a) difficult to fix?

an immediate fix required?

c) expensive?

I'm a parent and an E30 owner, yet still have time to go to the supermarket. I park miles away because you can't open the doors wide enough to get him out in a normal park, simply because 90% of people can't park between the lines and the parents parks are covered in people movers parked even worse. Like the clown yestertday in Grey Lynn who parked about 30% of his Caldina in the neighbouring park. I simply put the E30 about 4 inches off his door (in my park) and watched him crawl out cursing from the other side.

Back on target, how about the guy who smacked a friends Audi wagon in a work car park, bent the whole rear quarter panel, got out and slashed both tyres before driving off?

Enquired at TM BMW once about a crank for one, said there was no such car, so getting parts must be fun.

Another clarification, I was referring to an S55 Kompressor (04), the torque is stunning, 1800rpm will take you past pretty much everything. And with charcoal 19's off a SL65AMG and tints, looks stunning too. I'd stand by the pricing though, everytime I mentioned AMG you could hear the tone change and the price go up.

For clarification, that was all 4 brakes replaced at 48kms.

Brakes, seat switches ($1300), sunroof switches ($1250), seat airbags (cornering ones, not safety), radiator fans ($2500) etc etc, this on a car with 48kms and 5-6 years newer.

Today the windscreen wipers on the E30 decided to switch themselves from normal speed to high speed, flicked them back to intermittent and they stopped doing it. As these things don't generally fix themselves, what is the likely culprit? Switch? Stalk?

As for the speedo being out. I dont doubt its not accurate above about 220.

I also have no doubt that the car will do 150mph with ease.

Have a crack at this, record for the 2-3 litre class was set in '59, you should bolt in.

I know mine will go off the clock which is supposedly 260

Must be the M Sport model. Autocar tested one in the UK on a closed track and got 227km/h, factory manual says 233km/h from memory.

Pretty sure that will be one that Steve Cox(?) has built, I'd have it in a heartbeat.

After consulting my Haynes manual and the photos that show parts that frankly could be anywhere in the car, can someone tell me where the above are in an E30 facelift 325i? Under the backseat? Boot? Cheers.

I've driven one and the RS4, they're quick and feel well built, but I'm not sure I'd shell out that much for that many k's. An nz new one sold at Turners with about 22kms on it for 36k and it was manual. Yes, it was a repo.

TBH, it didn't really excite me that much, but that's just my opinion.

Followed a nice E30 ///M325i between Papakowhai and Mana esplanade Yesterday afternoon, and was tailed by a tidy E34 535i on dished 18's Along Victoria st at lunchtime today.

Holy sh*t! Somebody knows where Papakowhai is.

There's a 4 door FL 325se that runs around Ponsonby, looks tidy, saw it a week or so back.
