Go hard Graham. Perhaps you can write a letter, post it here, we can all sign one and send a copy each. -
Hahaha Thanks guys. I'm off for a beer. Or three.
-
That is cool! And it has the real carbs!
-
Bugger, I completely missed that. $15k IS a bargain.
-
Whats his price though? Around $19k would be about right at the moment.

Seems the term is used to describe a system that doesn't fit with any other term and has multiple members (hence multilink duh). E36 having 2 lateral control arms and 1 trailing arm each side is a....?? Who knows, who really cares ha.
-
Probably the twin pipe. Not for performance or sound but for ground clearance.
-
Rofl at the 4door.
-
Almost any. Cant use late E36 med case gears.
-
What are you looking for?
-
If you have to ask you cant afford it.
-
Happy Birthday Gerald. Who ever you may be.
-
Wow!

Welcome. Looks like a tidy car, but man those tyres are stretched!

I'm more concerned about where my next beers coming from

You say "so in the worst case scenario, I'd have to replace the piston rings.", I say "best case scenario, I'd have to replace the piston rings.". Unless you're lucky and its only valve guides. Which means a reco'd head. Replacing piston rings only is pretty pointless if you have the engine out and apart. Do you really want to pay more than $4000 for a car that burns oil?

The speedo is in miles so the fuel gauge will be too. Looks like it could be a dog.

Yes, was trying to keep it simple. BTW the remote still works with a broken rear window. Probably only the range that is affected. The red nose on the mirror is the alarm LED. Both our E46s have it. Both have motion sensors on the head lining.
-
Haha I love Irish jokes.

Yours is the later model new generation radio module (one aerial cable). Mine is an old gen (2000 328) radio module (two aerial cables). Both the keys and the mirror are outwardly identical though. Have seen keys that resemble E36 keys for E46 cars. Hybrids car/keys are an example.

I'm curious. Did you break the pads in?
