If you take it to someone like Al's mufflers in Wairau valley they'll be able to fit it with a reducer or something.

Ray has a 3.46:1 e30 lsd on Tme at the moment. Will bring you back to under 3000 @100km/h.

A later e36 328 auto runs a 3.07/1 ratio. Should fit the 186 e30 housing. Will need a pro to set it up.

Have a look at the m52 328 exhaust mani. 2 pieces, quite small, might help? These cars rip with the m50, you'll be stoked I'm sure.
