Turner motorsport sometimes have this sort of thing, look under their clearance/race items. Might cost a bit to get here tho.

Hmmmm.... Nice, but I guess I have to say that.
-
Ummm...Thay are all hydraulic. The 'Vacuum' is a vacuum booster used to lighten the effort on the pedal.

You dont need a clutch pedal mount, its already there and the pedals arent too expensive new, dont forget if you are converting youll need a brake pedal too. The masters are 200 odd new but there are two different ones, plastic and ally.

You can only use the existing flywheel if it is in good condition,it never comes with a clutch kit. Unfortunatly dualmass flywheels are delicate and fcuking expensive and often cant be machined to any great degree. Time for that lightened flywheel from the States maybe, otherwise try ringing an independent BMW parts supplier for a better price.

15x32x10. OD is the same as is the depth but the ID is 15 not 12,at least for the m52(check your input shaft). Not a common size so I sourced a 15x32x9 from a bearing supplier. BMW part no may be 11211720310

I would but I dont trust my clutch and the ute dosnt have a tow bar. Ill come and give ya a hand tho, what time are you going?

As some of you know Ive been doing the old auto to manual swap on my e36 328. Ive used a m20 flywheel, machined, lightend and balanced with a heavy duty e30 325 clutch from Autoclutch and a B&M shifter. Its all buttoned up and driving but,the clutch doesnt seem to be holding very well. Normal drivings fine and wide open pulls are okay too but it just doesnt seem too be grabbing as well as it should be and I can make it slip quite easily. The pedal engagment is off too.The clutch bites very high on the travel and it has virtually no free play in the pedal. Its as if the clutch isnt completely disengaging. The question is ...is the takeup point of the clutch ajustable at all? Someone (who should know) has told me it can be ajusted by screwing the master cylinder in or out but there aint no thread there to speak of. Comments, opinions or even the answer would be apreciated.

Dude that sux! Good luck with it all.

Well there ya go Is it an early, prefacelift 328 (obd1?)? Does it have ASC(traction control thingy) If it is early, around 95,and it doesnt have ASC,theres a (slim)chance it has an LSD or so the story goes. Might be worth checking anyway.

Do you have any parts yet? I have some lists that might be usefull. Waiting for my driveshaft to be finished then I can bolt it all back together. Conversion is very similar to the e30.Nothing too difficult(except access)

Hmmm great minds think alike. But there is fcuk all between the bores to start with(m52) The m50 can go to s50 specs??(3 ltrs) Or maybe a m52 update, these have iron liners in the alusil block dont they?

Tell me more about the sump guard!
-
Yeah, its a fine toothed one, teeth are closer together for the flywheel that has approx 139 teeth. Will call tomorrow Darren.

Im looking for an e30 starter motor, preferably from a facelift. A stuffed one with a good pinion would be ideal, otherwise a cheapy would be sweet. Thank you.
-
Ill share the load. Strange sounding incident though.

Vintrim,Porana rd are good too.

One other thing. Is a gaul plate(big washer with eight holes ) nessasary with a m20 flywheel?
