    Got some prices???
  3. Looks familiar. Welcome.
  4. When the cars jacked up, grab the spring and give it a good shake. It shouldnt move in its mounts AT ALL.
  5. You Aucklanders , always moaning about traffic , I dunno.
  6. I wonder weather your springs are seating properly, they may not be captive enough. Are the rubber isolaters(pads) still there between the springs and the mounts?Who installed them? BTW I run 2.5 negative camber ,4 degrees caster at the front(all the offset bushes allow for),.6mm toe in,17x8 et35(offset)& 235/40/17 tyres and have no rubbing issues.Car tracks straight with less (no) tramlining and no wander under brakes and understeers a hell of a lot less than it use to. Its not exactly what you guys would call low tho;p
  7. Heres a couple of things that MAY help. Get yourself some offset poly bushes for the rear of the front control arms. This will give you a little more caster to help with the big wheels. Next youre gunna want some camber to pull the top of the wheel under the guard. There are two ways you can do this reasonably easily. 1,M3 evo top strut mounts swapped side to side,up to 3 degrees camber and with the offset bushes around 7 degrees caster(same as M3 evo). 2,A bushing kit from Turner motorsport in the states(spaces the lower strut to hub mount bolts). The front of a E36 is not ajustable for anything but toe in.You want this set to almost zero or youl have evil tyre wear, only do this with increased camber. If you use the offset bushes,M3 evo top mounts you will have almost M3evo geometry at the front so it may not understeer like a rideon mower.

A little birdy told they are the same lsd centres as those used by Ford in their Atlas diffs. Not sure witch model Fords they were fitted too,Seirras maybe? Might be worth checkin out.

    My E36 318 TI

Nice conversion, nice idea, nice car . You say the 328 doner ran a 3.64 diff? According to the case in mine ,Im running a 3.07(97 328 ex auto). Real oem told me to expect a 3.64 so Im at a loss????
  12. Mine has a sticker on the drivers side shock tower and a stamping on the cowl ,between the brake booster and the winscreen. NZ new.
  13. Are you talking early model e36? So long as youre swapping early engines (m50-m50)both are obd1 then I cant see you having too much of a problem with a chip to make it run. If youre swapping in a late model (m52)engine then you might have a few more problems. You may have to convert to obd1 or vice versa. Also obd11 computers cant be "chipped" as such , they need reprograming. Late model e36 320 are m52 also,I believe.

Try calling Autoclutch 09 8493737 ,they are the experts. Fwiw ,when they machined mine they machined the mounting face and the friction face ,I presume they remove the dowels to do this??There is a definate step, but its probably less than a mil. E. heres a picture for your viewing pleasure

He was the unjoiner on the weekend.
  17. I agree, go the manual. You wont regret it like you will if you go the auto.
  18. I could easily live with mine everyday. Its even reasonably good on gas.
  19. You need to ease the top down and pull it towards you. You gotta be real carefull,so easy to damage. If you want to take it out completely you need to take the steering wheel off.
  20. Try Autoclutch in Auckland.
