hey guys im just thinking about getting a kit shipped in from pelican parts as they seem reliable ( not too flash on the replies though ) hate to be a pain but heres a question u guys probably might be able to answer. Clutch kits for a 325i on pelican parts are 1987 E30 models onward, i have a 1986 i dont see why it wouldnt fit. but i dont know enough about the mechanics of it all. Will the clutch for a 1987 E30 fit a 1986 ? theres no big difference between the two is there ? So i can just order it in and forget about the tech questions i keep trying to get through to pelican parts cheers

any thing is worth getting rid of a annoying ticking noise ............... or not, ill ditch the exaust idea for a while 3 G is worth it though ....... :thumb:

lol yeah. ive heard that from alot of people and i think i might leave it give it a oil change and put some mauries in, ill just go round town at 5000 rpm like a race car and people wont notice the ticking......... ( one of my friends recommended ) i get a big bore on my car and a full extracted exaust and the advantages are the HP increase and people cant hear the ticking noise either

ok ill try and make sense this time The whole clutch needed replacing ( quote steve from sherson ) about 3 months ago, so its been slipping, having engaging problems THE whole package. And now, it doesnt engage. ( sorry im not a car mechanic ) but ligtened fly wheel, how do i go about in doing that ?

Yup, the clutch has been slipping for ages as it is, as the pressure plate needed replacing, but also every thing else was on its way out as well. And yeah it wont go foward now. ( or backwards )

Hey Just a Minor Querie ( as i cant drive it any where if you read the other topic that occured yesterday ) But the tapets have been adjusted and yet a ticking noise still remains. It is alot quieter so thats good, but theres still a distinctive ticking noise coming from underneath the rocker cover ? I am Going to adjust them again just incase on of the valve clearances is out slightly but yeah Could they just be worn as it is, and thats some thing im going to have to live with So on that ? Um, The Oil that im running the car is some one CRAP, and needs a oil change soon. With a good oil change and a 1lt of Mauries Oil Will that reduce the noise ( i heard from some one i should do that )

325i, 1986 Pre Face Lift E30 Vin Number WBAAE320600900693 Now I realise that this is not a buy sell and exchange site But As of yesterday My Clutch Blew Does Any one have a Clutch Kit spare/lying arround ? or know some one who does I was thinking about getting one from Pelican Parts and have them ship it over But they have clutch kits for 325i's 1987 and onward ( will they fit my 1986? ) cause i dont wanna buy a 450 dollar piece of equipment and discover it doesnt fit Plus ive asked them the same question and its been long time no reply mmmmm help me out here guys what do i do !? ?!?? :bowdown:

Cheers dude man u are a FRECKN LIFE SAVER, ( u just saved me close to 200 dollars ), wicked yeah theres a bit more to do to the bmw, before the small stupid problems go away Just as a side topic how much can i score a bmw fuel pump for, for a 325i ?

Does any one have a service manual or know the exact settings to set the tappets to ? or a site that i can go to, cause i cant find them any where ? Cheers :rambo:

Noisy tappets and they are a pain in the azz (louder than some one hitting the hi hat on a drum set ) . I realise there is a tool for it but i checked up with sherson auto and at the present point i will not have enough money for 2 hours labour at 70 dollars an hour + other fees just to get rid of a ticking noise. I have also checked up with them too that they dont need replacing just tuning ( as they previously did a repair on the car ) Does any one have the settings for the tappets that i should adjust to so i dont wind them too tight or loose ? cause i cant find any settings any where. Could Some one help me out here on what to adjust to, how much etc and how much is too far ? any help would be great Thanks guys

ive been told not to trust mad soundz ? and the deals theyll throw at you, what do you say to that, because ive heard some pretty wierd stuff about products people buy off them new and things go wrong, and 350W speakers get tested and end up being 15W rms lol. so yea am i better off going to trademe or a parrallel import ? what are some brands i should look out for. im not too keen in the 6#9's those are the least of ma worries, e.g. front speakers and nice amp to go with them ? advice ? lol from the man him self

Any good Value dyno's that i should be aware of e.g. expence wise because the prices im getting to plot the car out are quite expensive. would i be looking at a better deal/service in just driving up to auckland ? (might be a stupid question but you never know) let me know thanks

stupid bmw's ( yes i do drive one ) but it does have its downs you guys should be lucky your cars dont have leaks ? when on earth did leaks spring in my car, i dont know but leaving a sweatshirt on the ground on a rainy night showed me ...... im searching for leaks and cant find ne thing.... just a whole heap of carpet that keeps getting wet any way off subject there but i heard you people talking about injectors whats the best option for hp gain in putting bigger injectors on my car E30 325i, stock injectors i think, i wanna get new ones cause their old but i wouldnt mind adding a FEW hp to my car .... e.g. maybe some 540i injectors ? let me know what you think is that over the top ? cheers

so guys 0 - 100 times, just lately ive been having mates in their stupid skylines ( turbo'd of course ) bragging on how 0 -100 in 7 seconds seems to be the most amazing time ever. i drive a E30 325i manual and get given a bit of sh*t for having suposably a SLOW BMW ... as all bmw's are slow right guys ? ( standard comment from stupid jap car drivers dont worry people ) any way i went out there in my 325 and did some times. so please can i have some feed back on your times ? and what car, no jap car times alloud. My times were averaging arround 4 - 5 seconds, tending towards the 4 second range and no i wasnt going down a hill, it was slightly up. do i have an abnormal car ? or do 325i really kick ass, ? cause i see in performance car magazines evo's and race skylines that have trouble doing 0 - 100's in that time ? :rambo: let me know cheers

why not 3rd gear lol great thoughtyea 5 seconds for me 2 people in car ( of course we didnt go ova that speed afta that )

well this is the thing some times it does and some times it doesnt i thought at first it was a problem starting because of the cold surroundings and cold engine but afta a while id be driving it round stop off some where and the engine was still warm and it was having problems firing could this be dirty injectors or maybe sparkplugs ? or some thing else ? cheers

lol stupid bmw so can some one help me out on what the hell this problem is its not a battery related issue (i hope) as its a fairly new battery this only just started happening recently so when i turn the keys it takes a while to start, it will crank for like 4-6 (some times more) seconds before firing it never used to be like this, used to be 2 seconds max hot or cold help ? what on earth is going on, it doesnt sound too good to be honest

ok thanks for the help so far.... i have an offer from wreckers im not much of a person when it comes to knowing spoiler prices but its a pretty nifty spoiler its soughta stock and it looks like its come off an old M3 theyve offered me 100 for it and me knowing wreckers im VERY CAUTIOUS 100 $? i dont know my spoiler prices but im guessing its only worth 40 - 50 ? help ? its a soughta winged spoiler that hangs ova the edge of the side of the car but nothing special what are your thoughts . keep me posted on spoiler locations or prices cause this is prooving to be annoying thanks

Hi People, help , I need a spoiler for my E30 bmw and its prooving to be very difficult in tracking down any BMW wreckers let alone ones that have hold of a spoiler that will fit my car. i current have a boot lid at the moment and its making my car look like some one got some thing out of the bin. so help can any one recommend me a place to go let alone some one to call about bmw wreckers .. in north island even auckand ? that has spoilers. Let alone if any one is selling one ? let me know.... also what are the prices i should be looking at ? any help would be great....
