  1. arghhhh, rang up auto clutch, number is 09 849 3737 and their charging m30 535i clutch kit 900 + gst !!!!! Can some one get one for cheaper, cause holy sh*t the max i thought it was going to cost was 600 - 700 ?? it would be good if some one could help me out and go on a hunt to find one for cheaper ?? or a cheaper option ??

  4. what was that clutch kit place i went to, to get one for my e30 it was a Luk clutch kit, had every thing there, can i get a kit for my 535 at the same place ?? Cheers, (p.s the auction for the manual trans with drive shaft slave cyliner etc ended at close to 1400 :0 !!!) i really wanted a manual 535, so i didnt really care, provided it didnt get over 1500.

Haha, i will keep you posted, remember i am a noob, and will probably try and do this my self which im sure i can do, just will take a little longer, bravo do you mind writing me a specific list of stuff that i will need? so i can foward through that to ray and other places. Will post photos of the car, btw it only costed me 600, so i hope you guys think its a good buy warrant of fitness condition, perfect body diamond shwartz black mmmm

Hi there, on tradme i have finally tracked down a manual gearbox Also with Shifter Flywheel driveshaft slave cylinder This is to replace my auto gear box in it, was replacing it, so might as well take the opportunity and make it manual since its very rare finding a manual box / conversion kit Can some people check up on this auction, and see whether this is a wise idea ? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=119633419 Ill be doing most of the conversion my self, whats the deal with pedals ?? do i just get some from a manual 525 or some thing ?? Any help would be good, im sure you guys would be keen in helping to the addition of the awsome 535i manuals !! Cheers, give me some feed back

  9. will check on what the gear box is, gotta get under the car first. im looking for atleast 500 for the box and engine it is from a pre face lift model, which im sure will fit a face lift model any way i think the engine mounts are just a little bit lower or some thing will get back to you on what model the box is
  10. you guys sure that will fit a PRE f/l e30? some guy told me that aparantly the body kits dont fit the pre f/l?? or are they all sh*t?
  11. When i do my engine transplant i will have a spare engine lying arround Engine from the e30 320i goes sweet perfect manual transmission could supply diff and drive shaft at additional cost cheers
  12. hi guys ive seen a few around, any one know where i can get some sexy front bumper/scoops for pre f/l e30s instead of the standard front with black scoop ?? any ideas? i know face lifts have some cool front bumpers but do pre face lifts have ne round ??

  14. It seems that even in park it tries to go forward lol, so when the cars on in park it tries to go foward, reverse and neutral it doesnt judder any more, So is this the lock out valve ? any one recognize this problem any help would be awsome cheers guys

See if some one can recognise this Right heres the story, the x owner had water leaking into the trans cooler, which destroyed the first one he got the leaks fixed, and bought a new trans off trademe which doesnt reverse, weve gone over why it doesnt reverse and im taking the sump off tonight. i see quite a bit of talking on flaring, define what flaring feels like, cause i took my 535 for a drive and tested throttle positions etc, some times if i put my foot to the floor at 50 it judders for a bit (the revs do not fly up)?? and then accellerates smoothly. So is it flaring ? Or is this a different problem. Hoping some one could expand on this. Or give me some tests to do while driving to help figure out this problem. Could this be related to the lock out valve ray was talking about. other information that might be relevant, doesnt matter if im in sports mode or not, but it seems that it doesnt matter when i floor it, most of the times i have to change the gears my self, surely this is some thing stupid ?? Any way, i tried putting as much relevant and irrellevant info on here to see if some gurus could expand on this, or maybe some one has delt with this before. Cheers

  18. heys guys as with my 535i not reversing, im taking ray up on checking this lock out valve. so im gunna have to take trans cooler sump off, as i havent touched autos b4 1. any thing i SHOULDN'T do? 2. What should this "the lock out valve located in the small pan on the drivers side is a magnetic switch" Look like if it needs to be replaced?? 3. Should i put the old stuff back in the trans cooler? or do i need new stuff (does it matter )? Cheers There is hope yet turning this noob into a half decent apprentice/labradoodle HAHA

    is that in the middle or under the gear changer ?? i just had a massive vibration round that area and some one that did our trans didnt bolt 3 of the bolts in up there . . . .. im assuming its in the centre of the drive shaft some where ?? that would cause vibration yes ?
  20. we need to find a better mechanic . . . . . . . some how he jumped to a blown head gasket because there was water in the fuel tank . . . . well, only to realise there was 10 ltrs of water in the tank . . . . some how. aparantly my brother has enemies. so it had 10 ltrs water and 10 petrol . . .. which could have been the reason why it didnt start . . and sure enough after cleaning out the tank, fired straight away what alot of hype for such a stupid think !!!! Sorry to cause fuss, all the more reason to have locking petrol caps on your beamers GUYS !!!
  21. if you only want a laptop for the simple stuff internet emails etc just stick with windows, sad to say 1st of all, if some thing goes wrong its relatively easy to fix or get some one to fix 2nd of all, better off program wise, windows os has a lot more support for software since every one uses it, and drivers etc stick with windows xp, in my experience, waiting atleast a year after a new OS comes out e.g. vista, before upgrading, there are alot of holes and flaws that need to be soughted if you were getting a machine biased towards media, video editing and image ect i would definately vote some thing mac, their operating system is a lot less fuel guzzling, and will run high demanding editing programs no problems.

Hi there my brothers car just hit the sack too. it doesnt start, weve taken it in and aparantly its got a blown head gasket. im going to do it my self since parents dont have the money. but before i get on my way to do it, can a blown head gasket actually stop a car from starting?? the mechanic mentioned whether it could be hi end damage or low end damage whats the difference ? having a blown head gasket whats the worst case senario ? some one care to expand, so i can get started and get the right parts any help would be awsome
  25. thanks for that, my dad is already making a set of extractors and were designing a custom exaust. what could be done about air intake? Cold box with k&N filter? thoughts
