Probably bad\worn suspension and\or tyres. Mine is solid as at 200 even on not so great roads
-
Hard luck getting caught at the end of the day, plenty of people have put the hammer down on a straight road at some point in their life.
-
The driver has alot of influence come track day. I just like a bigger car myself If i recall the Lotus Carlton Omega was the fastest sedan in early 90's
-
This. Never owned a console in my life, nothing against them but PC's are just generally superior in most ways. Loved BF1942\Desert Combat too its the only battlefield i enjoyed.
-
E39 540i seem to be quite cheap these days so not much point.
-
This should be in Hamilton next week if all goes to plan. Whether i keep it for any length of time is a different story, easy decision if it was an E34 haha.
-
Sounds like you wanting to sell it. How much haha
-
Haha the rims are pretty horrible i will admit, they would be the first thing to go if i ever bought it, but for a stock <10k car it punches far above it weights when it comes to straight line power, even alot newer of bmw's couldn't match it.
-
Yeah. You can it either way but i do it from dead cold as ive usually just refilled the cooling system.
-
The way i always bleed if i dont have a compressed air source\fittings available: Remove the the expansion tank cap, draw breath & put your mouth over it and blow whilst having a finger blocking the expansion tank vent hose and the other hand opening the bleed screw, its like bleeding brakes as you need to close the screw before releasing pressure and repeat. It usually takes me <30s to get all the air out then i will recheck once its a operating temp just to be sure. So much easier and faster than open\close bleed screw, tilt car etc method and it works well on E30's due to the expansion tank location

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=662051615 I may not have time to check it out this week so if anyone doesn't mind having a look on my behalf flick me a PM
-
In my experience its usually just pretty std ones that sit up peoples rear ends, obviously bad driving not just limited to BMW but i think people tend to notice bad BMW drivers more. For me its the Ford\Holden drivers that i notice more than others - sitting up my ass, sitting in right lane etc but they will always bitch out when it comes to going around a corner at speed then proceeding to try to catch back up.
-
Its usually the posers in poverty spec e36's that give BMW drivers the bad rep but im glad i don't commute in Auckland often

Baller on a budget

Wasn't anything decent for 14" these days last time i looked
-
Assuming you talking about a stock engine? If so id say the engine would run rich or even flood, loose fuel economy and probably loose power depending on the flow increase.
-
Ive used the those NZAD rotors numerous times on E34's and my old E30(incl trackdays) and i can't fault them.
-
Where do you buy your (new) bmw replacement parts?
Eagle replied to Kepes's topic in General Discussion
Mostly use Paul and Gavin general maintenance\service type items. All big orders thru pelican parts as its cheaper, faster and they have a lot of stock for older BMW's which is hard to get or not available locally. -
Missing the front mtech bumper which is a shame. I think 5.5k give or take would be reasonable depending on actual condition If i sell mine at some point ill be wanting quite a bit more than yr average one but it will be a truly mint 535is in all areas with factory many upgrades
-
Poo brown and the rims would put me off that one but 7-7.5k if i wanted one and it checked out.
-
Ive bought a few cars with them on. Id rate them one of the better sh*t tyres, but at end of the day i cant say ive used many other lower end tyres for very long.
-
Are they OEM pads or some cheap aftermarket job? Never had any problems with OEM pads squeeking Id replace the rotors, give the caliper a good clean, spray anti squeel on backs on pads and under backing plates if you have them and on the metal areas where they contact the caliper.
-
Ive never had one apart either but it looks like your diagnosis is accurate to me. I have a number of CV axle kits with boot and steel plate etc part no:33219067906.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/390676157024 While i havent used this exact one I currently use and have used his E34 chip in many cars with good results.

From what ive remember those RD bars had a bit of an understeer bias on your average street car. I think the 25\20mm work well for the usual street lowering springs+shocks. Andy:What sort of springs rates are you running on those XYZ's? An adjustable set would probably good if you wanted tweak handling characticstics
