Manual conversion is the first and best performance mod.

I have the same Sony in my E34, really nice unit for its time. You'll be to remove the unit and probably the cage bracket(which houses the wiring connector at rear). Should be an external RCA plug somewhere, either floating around or taped to the wiring. Chuck on your RCA>3.5mm adapter, run the lead and then you done.

As i said the car 100% the 3x short times i drove it, you've had it for awhile now and issues like this can develop anytime. Not sure what overheating etc has to do with anything. I replaced mates E36 cam sensor a couple of years ago which was showing the same symptoms as yours, once it was scanned the problem was able to pinpointed.

A BMW 1.4.0 scanner with a 20-pin adapter(if you got OBD1) will do most things you'd require. Should be able to get one off ebay etc quickly
-
I just use a bit of clear tube with a one way valve. IIRC supercheap auto have bleeder kits
-
Im surprised you dont have a scanner, get your priorities right lol.

Got mine from Turnermotorsport. Don't really remember it looked like, but as said above you need to know the offset of the rims first.

I ran 15mm H&R hub centric spacers on my old E30 for ages, they weren't that easy to spot either with BBS RS alloys and the brake dust blending them in I never cert'd them and had no problems with WOF from 3 different places in Hamilton

I thought the whole point was not to run an E39 M5 into the ground thru daily driving. With an E60 M5 being so common etc it doesn't matter.

OEM-BMW parts from ebay in USA 1/3 the cost of NZ. WHY?
Eagle replied to kulgan's topic in General Discussion
I'll buy local if its reasonably priced, available or i need asap. For me its usually alot less hassle to shop online, you know all the prices, stock levels etc, and only takes a week to arrive usually. The issue i encounter with local is the older\less common parts that aren't stocked, which you gotta wait 2 weeks for(understandably) eg M30 intake gaskets - couldn't find them anywhere in NZ(luckily Brent had some). -
I figure these used to be my old ones? So yeah id agree with above also.
-
Why i mainly attend private trackdays. Sadly Bimmersport is lacking compared to what it used to be when it comes to events.

I think only morons type with the caps lock on

The server was moved to fix the many issues that were happening so you had to wait, it was only 7 days ago that it was all sorted and running again.

True Yeah Porsche did some crazy interiors. I remember driving a 944 S Silver Rose, they do grow on you.

lsd inspired no doubt

Considering the M versions are 3x the price your bank account might be wishing you hadn't bought one. They both got their advantages but a manual transmission would be at the top of my list regardless. In my experience its always auto's that have always left me wishing, hence ive never kept one for very long.

What did you want for the style 66's?
-
Not every one has to drive around in shitty Auckland traffic
-
the price difference is going to be a fair gap also
-
$40 shiiit, i paid $26 at BNT like 2 weeks ago.
-
Should be specs on the net. Usually around ~1.2L
-
End of the day you really $ set aside for most repairs before you buy, even more so when you don't do your own spannering.

Whats with all the brown crap on the pipes etc, looks like its been off road or something hah. Could be a number of things, these engines arent exactly basic and you really need to scan it imo.
