Don't know what it's worth, but when you get it post some better pics for us!

Swap with the 540 Simon? Do it.
-
Hahaha... +1 And I should clarify - I'm not saying we should sacrificing our love of cars for the environment. I am all for driving for the love of it and supercars. I'm saying that by doing the other little things (recycling and saving power where we can) we might be able to make up for it and hence enjoy doing what we love doing for longer.

Some guys on here have pictures of a written off E92 M3 but I don't think they were ever posted. It was from awhile back though, not 3 weeks ago - not another one!?
-
$5k for a CF bumper carrier? Yikes! Talk about needing insurance on the M3...
-
The seller got a pretty good price IMO!

Haha, I'm expecting to see a significant enough effect in my lifetime and you're younger than me. Unless by drastic you mean end of the world type stuff. The way I see it, doing the little things doesn't take time, just need to get into the habit. If everyone does a little it adds up - which will hopefully lead to us still being able to enjoy the lifestyle we are used to for longer/cheaper, in the long term. I don't know, but I think the city council would be happy to answer your question

Nothing will last forever, so yes. People do change the fluid.

+1. I am glad BMW has gone the way of EfficientDynamics. And who knows, maybe Toyota's FT-HS hybrid supercar will be good! I'm also using those cloth shopping bags when I do my food shopping. Those plastic bags really do add up.

Any KM requirements? A manual, NZ New E36 318 with I think ~120,000km sold on TM for less than $6.5k last week.

Since we're all into cars and love driving, putting our foot down when we want to have some fun, sometimes going for drives when we don't need to... we aren't exactly the greenest people around. We're consuming more petrol than we would if we drove to optimise fuel economy and if we took the shortest route - I'm sure most of us have been guilty of taking the long way to enjoy the drive. Some of us may change our oil prematurely 'just in case' to make sure the engine stays in top condition. Do you ever feel guilty about your car hobby? What are your perceptions on how you treat the environment? Do you do anything to try to neutralise the negative effect driving has on the environment? On my end, I recycle anything I can and turn off all electrical appliances (especially lights) when not in use.

I like the third one the most. Did you use Photomatix?

Aside from the crazy description, actually looks like a tidy car, need to check if it's indeed a 96 or a 97, as it's a facelift model. $6.5k-$7.5k sounds good if it's tidy EDIT: Body has way more KMs, $6.5k if it's tidy, need to check up on why it needed a new engine!

Wow that's a very unique colour, I've never seen it around... better take care of it! Looks pretty cool but as you said not for everyone.
-
That's a performance exhaust alright! Looks like he took some random information from google. Someone should ask for a dyno chart of his 318.
-
Unfortunately money doesn't buy sense. I wish the bus driver hit him!
-
Liam, just out of curiosity why are you looking for a late model cabrio. Is there anything special about the later models?

Welcome Jason! The motorsport will be a '328i Motorsport'. A Motorsport E36 will have the same engine, transmission etc. The differences are: - M3 bodykit (Front/rear bumpers, sideskirts. Mirrors generally not included but you find some that have M mirrors) - Motorsport interior (Japanese imports generally have seats with half cloth/half leather, and the front seats are sports seats with extendable knee bolsters) - Slightly lower, sports suspension, thicker sway bars - 16" 225/50/16 on Motorsport vs the usual 15" 205/60/15 wheel/tyre combo Sagging of door fabric and headlining very commonn on E36. Just need to get them reupholstered. Don't know much about the windows but doubt they would cost much to fix.
-
Welcome Conrad What year is your 325i? I don't know much about turboing it but have seen discussions about it on http://forums.bimmerforums.com.
-
Good fun eh Greg, where was this? Next up, in car camera! (Is it allowed?)
-
MUST SEE!! All You BIMMER LOVERS CHECK THIS OUT!!!

I'm not surprised that members of a Subaru board would choose a Subaru over a BMW. It's fair enough that everyone has their own preference of looks, car characteristics or power delivery, but some of them are just talking bullshit. The person who started the thread just needs to drive both and pick what he likes. -
Sounds like a great time Riley, and good to hear the car is going well.
-
Welcome, the body looks very tidy. Which shade of silver is it?
-
Does anyone need their Bmw remapped or tuned. Contact Hi Velocity

Welcome to the site! He's been mentioned quite a few times, must do good work. If you have dyno graphs before/after, with more details of the mods, do post them up, I'm sure everyone would be interested.
