It's the angle from which the photo was taken, would be dead centre viewed straight on.

Very nice! The paint looks well taken care of.

They call the front windscreen valance the 'cowling'. Part #51711977678 (Item #9 here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...fg=20&hl=25). The dealer or our forum sponsor should have it. DIY here (for 4 door but you get the idea): http://www.bimmerdiy.com/diy/e36cowling/ Sorry don't know about the blower fan.

That's cool, did he say if he was going to use BMWorkshop?

Very cool Josh, are you coding it yourself? And I see the MKx terms being used to describe nav systems, are they only limited to the nav system or do you plan to have the system talk to the ECU as well?

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-98862...=TheCarTechblog Just imagine, we could all be on Bimmersport while driving . I multitasking. (This is after someone hacks the system so the driver can use it while moving, of course). Maybe one day the car will be connected directly to the internet itself and we'll hear of people hijacking cars through the internet.

I'm also impressed with the report, it's very thorough and will definitely serve as leverage for bargaining. In that sense the report can be an investment. A few of the problems are common E36 problems and have DIY fixes. But the others will cost a bit. Good luck, don't pay any more than what you think the car is worth. You will find the right car, it's just a matter of time.

Good find Simon. The Merc looks like good fun, I'd take the M3 though!

Soo raspy!

From memory, the clip is on the side of the fog light. I remove the whole bumper to get to the fog light as it's easy enough and I can actually see what I'm doing.

You can also try these guys: http://www.europart.co.nz/specials.html

Have you tried the wreckers Martyn? I'd imagine there are a fair number of crashed E39s around which you could take your pick from.
-
I see. Thanks for the heads up. Hope whoever bought it knows that!

Welcome! The car looks very nice, the wheels suit it. As above it would look even better with a bit of a drop. From that angle it doesn't look like the wheel gap detracts much from the car though. Is that your garage?

I smell an engine swap.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CAR-MATS-BMW-E36-E30...1QQcmdZViewItem Their website: http://www.motormec.co.uk/carpet.html Couldn't find any other resource, as everything else seems to be LHD. Could try wreckers/independent BMW shops, they might have them.

Can't believe E34 parts are going NLA already. Modified Repco mats in an E34 sounds bad. Will have a look around the net - might be a good chance to score some high quality aftermarket ones tailored to the right shape with holes etc?

Haha I get it now - do the bulbs have a blue tint on them? The halogen bulbs that put out white light usually do. At the end of the day they're just halogen bulbs and the actual beam can't match HID white. I think they look white when you look at them head on because they're so bright that our eye interprets it as being whiter than it is.
