Amps are late 2000s Soundstream stealth series, 640 4x 108 RMS into 4 ohms and 600d which is roughly 1x600 RMS into 2 ohms.

Finished the boot today part of the install today. Decided to leave the amps exposed rather than covered in. Less chance of thermal issues. Chrome trim on the amps a bit cheesy , but as they say .... if you can't hid it feature it.
Subwoofer ski pass now covered , doesn't seem to reduce bass output and its rattle free beyond my self imposed SPL limit.
Got one of Deon's 3d printed iphone 6 docks. Just a bit of minor modding to add analog audio jack and sanded for painting.
More work to do on getting video out into board monitor. ( running VGA iphone dongle and converting to composite)
Temporary mounting for DSP control. This is a source switch and overall system volume. Not too keen on the white lighting output. Will make some changes to make it amber to match.

If I was to buy an M3 now and had a family I'd get the e92 purely for the rear doors and factory Isofix including teather strap points.
Both cars are great and either will put a big grin on your face so you can't go wrong. If I had more disposable income I'd put a e46 in the corner of the garage (Sunday car) and use a e9x as a daily.

A gf with a solid interest in cars would be annoying as f**k.
Actually, I'd say it's a good thing. Wife got me into motorbikes. She never once questioned the purchase of
R model Ducatis and all the stuff you can by to make them go quicker.
Getting her to agree to spend money on a car or TV / gadget on the other hand is just hard work.

Was the 323i gold ?

Re003 has been out for a few months. No doubt we'll see them here at some stage.
I'll give these a miss but will try the re11 replacement Re71r if I can get hold of a set.
Sounding like þhe F1s are excellent value for money.

Kibble was the name. Very modest person considering driving ability.

Really? Have never known a car to pull a women, there is always more to the story. Ie, women see the driver of a flash car as someone who is financially secure and can potentially provide for them... this is what pulls certain types. Women won't sleep with you based on what you drive. Key word women. Girls might.
In terms of answering the OP. I would say no. I would not date a women based on what she drove, it may get my attention, I would ask her about the car, but would not date a boring women or princess based on her flash car.. Perhaps even avoid a car chick, well a chick that drives a car to look cool... They are normally Tom boys or just as insecure as the type of guys who drive flashy cars.
I have dated women who co-drive rally cars though, they are normally cool, but that's more about the sport and the thrill of speed than the car itself.
Interesting topic.
Who was that model ( miss Wellington ) that drives rally cars ?

Down to the lady
Met my wifei in the 80s. Was driving an e21 323i at the time. In the days when BMWs were hens teeth and price wise second hand e90 M3 in today's money.
She could understand why I'd spent so much money something that gets you from a to b ( she had an early Datsun 1600 then, had a 600cc motorcycle and sky dived on weekends)
It took me 15 years before she owned one her self. We've been together 25.
Moral of the story. Chics don't give an F about what you drive. If your impressed by her car then you might be limiting your field.
A Ducati on the other hand ........

Or stick with a manual if you can't cope with post 1980s technology .

Hired a new 206 5 door manual 1.4 in Italy way back. Was a great runabout and did about 1500 kms of driving. Used very little gas, was roomy for the size was quite nimble . Had no issue with constant 140 kmh - 170 kmh driving on autostrada and came into its own twisty back roads. Had no issues but being new I wouldn't have expected any .
Small engined versions would make a great comuting car.

Stuarts probably thinking , wtf happened to my thread , asked a straight forward question and gets meaning of life
So to summarise , get an M3 with SL1200 mk3 turntable retro fit, to be a man you need a left hand knob and then you can do skids. But to learn to drive you need to learn to ride. And Hondas are ghey.
Or give Mike Eddie a call at BMW driver training and ask his opinion on DCT for track days.
Btw , was that your lotus at the BMW Taupo drivers day a couple of years back.

Get the DCT. It's quicker on changes and enables betters balance when grabbing another gear on those full out 3rd to 4th sweepers.
You can then get on with working on precession down change and braking points on the track.
If you still like a knob to change with there's one on the left.
Do allow about 6 months to get rid of your manual driving habbits such as lifting off on changes.

Dealer ?
Had them re-flash my smg with the last revision of software (mcoupe I believe) couple of years back

Those springs are scarier than a walking dead episode. Glad nothing untoward happened at the drags ! Pervious owner would be up on murder charges.
Great progress on raising the standard of your M3

Hit the 100,000 km mark of the E46 M3 SMG over the past week. It's been 52,000 kms of great motoring over the past 3 years.
Have only had to sort rear view mirror and power steering hose. Quite good really for a 13 y/o

Drove the wife's e36 328 550 kms today. Nice to drive a car that can soak up the backroad bumps.

1940s for the Supercharged Rolls Royce P v12s if I remember correctly.

Will be interesting to see Rossi give one a thrash.

Use higher octane gas if topping the tank up. It lasts longer than 91 before going off. Either that, be prepared to drain the tank if leaving it for a couple of years.
One a month pump the brake pedal a few times. Do the same with the clutch.
Buy a trickle charger for the battery and leave it connected.
i'd also look at starting the engine every few months so the cam belt isnt left in the same position and the cylinder bores / valve train gets lubicated as well.
I do this for my Ducati which has done less the 20 kms in the past three years but never have any issues relating to sitting.
